I think the biggest thing that separates this tablet for me that wasn't mentioned, is their Open Canvas. Opening your drawing app, swiping down with two fingers, and adding a tucked second (or third) window/app for your reference material while drawing is a huge deal for me. Especially for 3D work. They really nailed it with Oxygen OS 👍

They have matte and anti-reflective coating especially Huawei is promoting it together with their new drawing app, GoPaint. I've tried Huawei Matepad 11.5"s and GoPaint app, they are amazing! I'd be using my tablet for studying and note taking. As such, the pen would probably hold me back on the oneplus pad 2. I'm probably going to go for a Samsung pad because their notes app is also pretty good
One thing in the final round-up iPad Air vs One Plus Pad 2 vs Samsung S9 FE is aspect ratio. I have an S8 and while I love it - the aspect ratio is not something I would ever pick as a selling point. I've always preferred the iPad 4:3 type of ratio for art.

As I'm looking up for tablet alternatives (having recently sold my old iPad Pro+ Pencil), gotta love how all other alternatives are almost always a "Yes, but..." in comparison. Specially in regards to styluses and other input devices. And coming from an iPad experience where everything "just works"... Well that "just works" is what you are charged $$$ for so it seems. Sigh. I've been on the Apple ecosystem for about 25 years but I'm open to hear about competent alternatives for pro drawing tablets. Again, "yes, but..."
After normal use. You need the 12gb of ram, after heavy use I always had about 2.5 gigs of ram left. So I never have to worry any apps closing on me in the bg. This is a great affordable upgrade from the fe. I didn't want to pay the 919 bucks for the 12 gigs Samsung S9.
I love your videos but can you please include your thoughts on how fast or slow the nibs of pens wear out, especially with paper like covers. I found that apple pens last much longer when vs, the nibs from galaxy tabs seem to wear faster since they’re smaller. I wanna know how this one compares

OnePlus pad 2 anyday over other Android tablets. Besides the stellar CPU, Oxygen OS 14.1 is so smooth and fast, it is better than anything out there in the market right now. Moreover, the open canvas in OnePlus pad 2 software is excellent for multitasking, which isn't available in many tablets.
@edeka3 As someone who's used to Samsung and Wacom, this is definitely a few steps down. As a professional artist, my gear needs to be perfect, good is not good enough and flaws like wobbly lines and poor palm rejection aren't acceptable.
I want to buy a pad , but really confuse between I pad air m2 and oneplus pad 2 As a medical student with one plus phone , which one is better And long lasting

I have no clue. Oneplus nailed it with this one. Obviously you can't expect an OLED screen at that price point, but for an LCD screen this looks damn fine.
The audio, especially bass sounds really distorted on this tablet. 8 Gen 3 in this tablet is much slower than a freaking Xiaomi 14 phone even with max perf mode. UI scaling is terrible, and even "small" is really just for old people. Setting DPI manually works, but after reset it is gone. Auto rotate sucks... When you are in horizontal mode, apps will just randomly force vertical mode (3dmark...), those apps cannot be forced to "centered" in settings, this makes the experience really painful. Will try more tomorrow. But so far it seems you cannot root the tablet, because OP doesn't provide standalone firmware to download, not even system update app provides downloading full rom package.
