I didn’t like the scene where Jared Leto approached that little girl and unzipped his pants whilst saying “you want the Morb? Then suck on these orbs”. I just don’t see what it added to the movie.
It was really weird decision to keep that break in the middle of the fight when moribund gets on a table and starts “I’m Jared Leto! I am a god! I can morph into anyone!”
Wow a 9/10 for morbius that’s high praise Adam. Jared Letos dedication to making his crew wait 45 minutes to use the bathroom is truly inspiring. I hope more films and actors could emulate such passion.
I vividly remembered being speechless walking out of the theater after seeing Everything Everywhere All at Once. Everything, Everywhere All At Once is a movie that has extraordinary and lofty ambitions and somehow manages to realize every one of them, flawlessly and in a very down to earth way. It doesn't get caught up in its own concepts, nor does it lose the watcher becauee it got caught up in its own fart-sniffing intellectualism. I don't think I've ever seen such an extraordinary, genre-defying film. It is beautiful and brutal, profound and sentimental, violent and gentle in turns. I am generally not wildly moved by most films - I realized I was in tears about half way through this own, without really knowing why. This is as high a praise as I can offer. If you haven't seen it, go and see it in the cinema. I wish you well and hope you also see in it some of the same things in it that made it so unique for me. It is also visually stunning.
I started crying because of the emotion, and then kept crying because I was laughing, and then I was already crying when the next emotional hit came through, and so the tears didn't stop, even though they changed contexts a dozen times
Perfectly described. When I walked out of the there what I felt must have been what people felt when they first saw Star Wars or The Matrix. Will instantly get this on Blu-ray when I can.
One thing I've noticed in interviews with Daniels is how unpretentious they seem to be as people and as creators. And it's like, "Ah, that's how you were able to create this masterpiece without being dicks about it." I cannot get over how much I loved this movie.
A serious masterpiece of a movie, I laughed, I cried, I saw it three times. Probably one of the best movies of the last decade, oscars for all involved. might go see 'everything everywhere all at once' too it seems cool
I feel the absolute same. no movie has elicited such a wide range of emotions in such a short time from me before. everything everywhere all at once was alright too I guess
Everything everywhere all at once was the best artful acid trip of a film. They managed to balance every genre to a great degree and not half assed. My favorite aspects of this film is that it's created by folks that self taught themselves. The Daniels watched RUclips videos to learn how to edit, Martial Club self taught themselves martial arts and did the action for Shang Chi and Paper tigers, and lastly only SEVEN Vfx artists did the effects. So much love for this film ♥️
This movie was an exercise in competent production and easy weird visuals.. Nothing more. Weird things are a dime a dozen and in regatds to this movie, used as a substitute for great storytelling.
@@mattd3810 Morbius is the only movie that has successfully morbed my life. I grew four inches in height, gained 200 IQ points and got married to an English supermodel because of the opening credits alone.
EEAAO was the best movie I’ve seen in years. It’s rare you see something that’s so original in theaters and makes you laugh your head off and bawl your eyes out in two hours. I can’t wait to get it on blu ray and watch it over and over again
Sonic 2 was sweet. That's not a fair comparison. Sonic and Tails being cute bros would always be better than the lonely broody vampire man being angry at being a vampire.
@@serpico1252 Yeah, it's kind of amazing how Jared Leto ended up fucking up asking some questions. Especially with someone as incredibly interesting as Fubuki.
EEAAO Is a Fury Road level film for me. Left the theater just completely astonished at how good it was and how unlikely a film like it will ever come again.
Until the sequal "Nothing Nevrywhere Not at Nunce" comes along. Im sorry lol, this film shouldnt ever have a direct sequal. The story was perfectly done, and cut, with what it had to tell.
I like to think, that every time one of these more unique movies are released and become very popular, it inspires passionate people to work towards their own unique ideas instead of generic, safe stories that are usually more successful. It's just that it usually happens every 5-7 years. So expect another Fury Road tier movie around 2029.
Halfway through "Everything, Everywhere, All at Once" I already knew it's going to be one of my favorite movies of the recent years. People, go see this! Seriously. This movie needs to make a lot of money to set a trend for more thought provoking and insightful movies like this.
if Kung Fu Hustle had an existential crisis, that's Everything, Everywhere, All At Once. loved this movie! there were about 12 people in my theater and we were all laughing and having a great time!
I forgot some movies actually can be so good people consistently walk out having enjoyed their time. It really shows how soulless hollywood movies are these days.
Watched it yesterday and I was very freaked out that, including myself, there were only 5 people in the theater. It was still amazing, but I hope that isn’t a sign that the movie is doing badly...since all reviews for it are very positive.
EEAAO is exactly the kind of non-franchise spec script we're always clamoring for, so I find it legitimately important to support it. I'll be seeing it before The Northman this weekend.
I love how Adam sometimes just uses slang that betrays his other interests (not that he hides them) Instead of saying "He Transforms into a monster" he says " He TF's into a monster"
Everything, Everywhere, All at Once is a beautiful movie. I saw it twice in one week. It still had the same powerful impact on my second watch. I would watch it a third time.
Everything Everywhere reminded me that sometimes people make movies because they have a story to tell and not just to make a massive assload of cash. It was oddly comforting
Everything Everywhere All at Once had me tearing up watching two rocks; it was truly a great experience. I'd recommend to anyone feeling a little lost in life to go give it a watch!
God that Fubuki interview is comedy gold. Don't anyone here be hating on the Japanese fox girl though, it's not her fault Jared was out of his gourd that day... well I mean talking to a Japanese anime fox girl might have had something to do with it... but you know, nobody go hating on the fox, so help me
@@RafaelRB11 The actors sit on a zoom call and wait for PR interviews to que in. They were likely told they were being interview by Japanese reporters/celebs for the film. Probably weren't told they were being interview by a Vtuber lol.
@@JohnDoe-uf3lj Uuhhh, some Vtubers have millions of subs and get 50k+ people average watching their streams. Vtubers, as the guy above said, are a huge and still growing industry of entertainment. Hololive is a global brand and usually a new Vtuber for them gets to 200k+ subs or so *before* their debut streams. Vshojo is pretty big too in western countries. They are a pretty big deal, and their fans also tend to be the target demographic for superhero movies, anime, video games etc. so it's definitely a worthwhile venue for marketing. _Even if it is through a hilariously awkward interview._
@RuSosan To be fair, it would still be very strange if that interview was with an English vtuber and was targeted at a western audience. Within Japan, people like Pekora and Kuzuha are borderline cultural icons for younger people and have had their faces on all kinds of products that the Japanese see daily. That with the international market for hololive means they have a ton of reach. It's not surprising disney would choose to do this.
@@JohnDoe-uf3lj I mean, a VTuber recently held an event where she claimed the third most subscribed slot on the platform. Not just in some qualified category, but of all time. I don't think they're as insignificant of a market as you think they are.

Baffled that you can say the soundtrack to EEAAO was "meh". Honestly one of the best scores I've heard in a film in years, the track "In Another Life" literally brought me to tears when Evelyn and Waymond have that moment towards the end, and I never cry at movies.
The score was super affecting for me as well, there were a few different scenes where paired with the music I was super grateful to be watching EEAAO in a theater.
EEAAO is one of those films where it’s quirky, weird, funny, and yet profound all at the same time. I cried tears of laughter and nearly cried from the mom and daughter dynamics.
I just saw Everything Everywhere All at Once, and it was one of the most incredible cinema experiences I've ever had, probably the single most affecting film I've seen in an actual theater. What the fuck. Instant classic. Its theme and message aren't terribly original (but tbf that is itself part of the movie's theme), but it's executed so incredibly well, so funny and moving and just such a thrill-ride. It feels like a film made perfectly for and from this extremely confusing moment in human history. It made me feel like I knew where i was for a little while. Thanks for turning me on to it Adum.
I ended up seeing Everything Everywhere with my mom and cried at the end of it. There was something about it that tapped into my own relationship with my mom and I couldn't help but get emotional over it. I don't think she appreciated it on the level that I did, but it was a positive experience.

13:13 I'm glad that you came back at the end to reveal that you watched Morbius for a second time and gave it a 9/10. I'm super stoked and its Morbin time at YMS!
Morbius memes aside, I skipped ahead in this review because I wanted to hear your thoughts on Everything Everywhere All at Once first. It really is just... well, everything, as a movie. You put it best saying that it's rare something so weird is also something you want to recommend to everyone. I'm finding myself increasingly taken with stories that aren't quite fantasy, but more real life plus, and multiverse stories are one of the best forms of that. They allow you to do so many creative things both in terms of entertaining scenes, and the overall themes. Also, the movie and Michelle Yeoh's performance PERFECTLY captured what Chinese immigrant moms feel like, down to the little details. It's a movie with so, so much more to praise than just the representation, but at the same time, it is a wild action movie that has a middle aged asian woman as protagonist, and that's awesome.
It really is rare to see middle-aged or older asian women as protagonists, I'm glad the film bucked the trend. Funnily enough, I think the wackiness of the film leaves a lot of space unexplored to be fertile ground for future multiverse films. A series of exciting, surreal settings don't quite capture the horrifying infinite possibilities of mundane slight alterations of reality that would also exist, but that would be an entirely different film for another time. This film managed to be very chaotic and yet within that its full of heart and spirit, it'll be one to remember for a long time I think.
everything, everywhere all at once is one of the most beautifully bizarre films i’ve ever seen. love it when i’m grossed out and moved to tears in the same screening
There were really subtle jokes and references to Chinese culture in Everything Everywhere, and it made me relate and laugh even more. Especially when Evelyn says "he" instead of "she" and makes the excuse that it's the same word in Chinese. MY MOTHER HAS DONE/SAID THIS ON MULTIPLE OCASSIONS
The closest theater playing Everything Everywhere All At Once is an hour drive away from me and a two hour walk from the nearest bus stop so I'm definitely a very happy fellow right now
@@beep_ using a multiverse is so cheap when telling a story. All possibilities can be used and appear varied when all you have to do is throw darts at 30 examples to put in the movie. Boring. Someday, multiverse story telling will be a dated concept just like many forms of cinema.
Everyone who likes the soundtrack to Everything Everywhere All At Once should check Son Lux out, they’re the band that did it and they are very good. It was a trip hearing them get *_DAVID BYRNE AND MITSKI_* on a track though, holy goddamn.
I personally thought that the score was refreshing, but I've also felt like every movie I've seen in recent memory has been weighed down with music video like sequences. I really liked the original song by Mitski & David Bryne in the end credits
Oh my god, I had no clue that was Mitski! Probably because I was so emotionally shattered from the film, but still. Thanks for commenting something about it.
I find it amazing that all the special effects for "Everything, Everywhere" were done by just 5 people, in their bedrooms, just learning off RUclips Tutorials, during the pandemic, doing the majority of almost 500 shots! I repeat, FIVE PEOPLE did the special effects for it!!!! After watching the new Doctor Strange and their VFX credits looking like a fucking memorial wall, this was an amazing feat! ⭐ Totally onboard with the Daniels and whatever they make now! Also, I still really like Swiss Army Man 🙂, I love the inventive use of physical humour and the cute little nostalgic sets and stages Paul Dano's character makes, the acapella soundtrack is full of heart and humanity, almost spiritual, the dialogue is honest and blunt, and for it being their first film, on a budget of $3million and just shot in the forest over 3 weeks, it's a goddamn ballsy, memorable, quirky, emotional movie about what it means to be alive, human, and vunerable, and I still can't really compare to anything else :)
Everything, everywhere, all at once is probably the first movie i've seen in awhile that felt like it got me, you know? Its everything i couldve wanted in a movie. Very good.
So, Everywhere Everything All At Once just came out for everyone on Amazon 2 and a half hours ago, and I bought it. It is such a great movie, I enjoyed every second of it. Thank you for the 9 Rating, it really deserved it.
just really loved how the daniels realized the importance of filming action scenes and there was like no shaky cams and every fight was show wide enough you could tell what was happening.

Going to see Everything, everywhere all at once for a second and third time this weekend. I really want this movie to do good at the box office cause it definitely deserves it. This movie absolutely blew me away and currently sits as my favourite film ever and i've seen a lot of excellent films (The Pianist, The Godfather I and II, There will be blood, Her, I'm thinking of ending things, Drive, Eternal Sunshine of the spotless mind, The Thing 1982, Paths of Glory, The Lighthouse 2019, Schindler's list and so on) so i'm not saying this lightly. I wouldn't say it's the best film ever made but it's one hell of an experience so please see it while it's in theaters. (budget is 25 million dollars and it's made about 13 million at the box office world wide. Sonic 2 has made over 230 million dollars world wide.)
One of the saddest moments of my life was walking out of that theater, never having been so moved by a movie, and turning to my mom and asking how she felt. She said she thought it was boring. It broke my heart.
Re EEAAO's score: As a composer, I'd be really hesitant to pull too much cinematic focus to an original melodic motif here--you're not just tying material and genre together, you're also evoking nostalgia, and you're probably trying to be sensitive to the cross-cultural considerations of nostalgia, too. It would be interesting to hear what a maximalist composer like Andrew Norman would've done with this material; he uses forces and textures that pack the same punch and careen as freely as what's happening on picture in this movie.
Did you also listen to Dolby's interview with Son Lux about how they went about developing the musical score for EEAAO. Super insightful and brings in a lot of context and reason why it sounded so good. I found that on my 4th viewing I was focusing on the music of the film.
@@lw8099 Oh shit, I forgot Son Lux did the score for this film. I mean Christ, they advertised it constantly in my emails and Facebook and I still didn't connect the dots once people started praising the film to kingdom come. I feel like a bad fan. Also the guest artists they got on the soundtrack still amazes me to this day.
Belated Happy Birthday Adam! Wishing you a speedy recovery. Morbius definitely flew under the radar. Barely anyone I know is talking about it, even those interested in superhero movies. Jared Leto can't seem to catch a break.
I couldn't agree more. Every human being on earth should see Everything Everywhere All at Once, it's a deeply emotional rollercoaster ride of absurdist existentialism that will leave you ready to hug whoever you match the movie with
Can we get a deep dive for Everything, Everywhere, All at Once one day?! I know you have a TON on your plate, but I would love to see you tackle this one day.❤
At first, I was skeptic if Morbius was really deserving of Adam's first, and most likely only, 11/10, but after seeing, I think it probably deserved more. I was surprised to find out that the iconic scene where Morbius throws an used condom at the bad guy and yells "You just got morbed" was completely improvised by Jared Leto. Truly a master of his craft.
I was really concerned that Everything was going to be another overhyped and overblown indie darling that made it big but it seriously seems to be earning all of its success. Happy to see an original story and IP getting so much love and attention.
Fubuki interviews Jared Leto: Fubuki trying to get a decent interview out of him LaPlus interviews Robert Pattinson and Zoe Kravitz: "Yeah, I take shits with the suit off."
Everything Everywhere was amazing. I think if the budget was a little higher the OST would have been a little more memorable but the budget was probably used elsewhere. The song used at the climax at the ending i felt was impactful, and the use of the classical piano song hit right. I loved the movie a whole lot. “I wouldn’t mind doing laundry and taxes with you” made me choke up and cry. Probably movie of the year.
I was really excited to see your review of everything everywhere all at once. If it was me I'd give it a 10 out of 10 based on creativity alone and the way they went about pitting it on screen and also the film editing. I'm surprised you didn't give it a 10 out of 10 to be honest but as soon as I left the theater I remember thinking that I knew you were going to enjoy this just for how novel it is
@@tituslafrombois1164 I have to disagree with this because he's given out a couple 10/10 because he was just so impressed with the film like the lighthouse for example. I watched Everything, Everywhere, All at once this past weekend in theaters in Colombia. I ate a space brownie for the movie and it felt way out of this world. I genuinely felt I could experience multiple lives at the same time. I felt as confused as the protagonist, and the rock scenes tripped the hell out of me. At some point I stopped reading at the subtitles because I felt every word was pushing me out of my body and I got pretty scared of that. Awesome movie.
At one point in Everything Everywhere a character says some lines that are lyrics from Nine Days’ song Absolutely (the story of a girl song). I was like “did they just? That was weird…” but then throughout the movie covers of that song are playing in the background, thinking specifically of the scene in the front seat of the truck… the song thematically fits super well with how Waymond feels about his wife. It’s pretty subtle but really clever I feel
I left the theater extremely thrilled, and pleased. It was one of the first times I went to watch a movie knowing almost nothing about it, and it paid off, because this movie was a complete and wonderful surprise. I can’t wait to watch it again as soon as it’s available to own! Oh, and Everything Everywhere All at Once was fine too I guess.
I saw this video on April, stopped watching, waited to see Everything in theaters this August, and *finally* resumed playing Didn't want to spoil even a frame of the film. Super worth it.
Everything Everywhere was my first movie theater experience since the start of the COVID lockdown, and my god what a movie to break the ice again. I genuinely think it's a top 3 all time for me after just one watch. I'm looking forward to a rewatch whenever it becomes available for BluRay to really lock it in. I wish it was doing miles better in the box office because movies like this are what I missed and what will keep me coming. So fun.
I’m so glad one of my favorite reviewers gave Morbius a rare but obviously well deserving 10/10. Definitely a movie that’s going to define cinema from now on.
Everything, Everywhere, All at once is such a good movie. I can't wait to watch it again. It is so simultaneously intelligent, hilarious and heartfelt. I love the fight scene in where they were fighting over that "award" shown at the beginning of the movie. Such great reincorporation!
Just watched EEAaO (literally about 10 minutes ago), and wow. On a "switch-your-brain-off" level it is just a lot of fun to watch; I constantly found myself laughing and shaking my head at how over the top, hilarious, and enjoyable the presentation was. Additionally, on a thematic/philosophical level, it really spoke to me. It's hard to know if I'm just projecting my own past and philosophy onto the film's meaning, but here's what I got in broad strokes: when confronted with the reality of life, all of the mistakes, successes, and variability of life, nothing matters when it is none of it unique or important. Even when you allow yourself to feel joy in pleasure in life, it all reverts back to the simple unchanging fact that it is all pointless and empty. Despite that, there's no reason not to pursue happiness. It doesn't matter that it's not unique or purposeful or worth it, choose to pursue the things that are good, no matter the philosophical inevitability that it's all meaningless. Might be solely projecting, probably am to some extent, but nevertheless the film is brilliant. If you don't get the same message or ideas as me, there's still a lot the film has to say, and it's worth finding what it says to you.
My ex and I love watching your videos together, especially re views! We learn so much from you and are always entertained. Maybe one day we will catch you live! Rock on Adam! We send love to you and your family!

@RuSosan To be fair, it would still be very strange if that interview was with an English vtuber and was targeted at a western audience.

Some people will never accept the Morb Gospel

Fubuki is always a win my friend
