This is a nice change of pace. I like the enthusiasm this video holds as compared to others who are sound like they are dead inside and do not want to do it. I have been wanting to get back into elemental gunning since TU2. Keep at it!
Since you're new You can go to the Mod Bowgun section in the weapon/Armour Smith and add a shield making HBG much safer. This shield is effected by shield skills to make it better. Hope that helps while you're getting use to the weapon. Once you feel very secure with the weapons movement you can swap out the shield for more damage and range. I heavily recommend the Evade extender skill. It'll help you zip right out of danger when you don't have wirebugs to move or counter an attack.
nice advice to not overcraft and not waste ammo doing it but i bet im to lazy to change my combine settings. Just so nice to have it all done instantly
5:55 So while I mostly agree, I think it's important to note that with some LBGs, notably Khezu's and Rathalos's for thunder and fire respectively, you can run elemental reload by removing your long barrel and running 3 Reload Speed and 1 Tune Up. This results in more overall damage than running the long barrel, but only if you run all of these to maintain Fastest reload. I was able to manage it because of a 2-1-1 talisman, and not all guns can run it, but for the Khezu and Rathalos LBGs specifically, it's a nice little bump in damage if you have the slots.
Elemental ammo is good but you most probably need to visit the camp not less than 2/3+ times every anomaly hunt. Unless youre a Sharpshooter then you'd probably be able to drop that to 1 time. At AR 220, i can easily do sub 10mins with Malzeno's Vigil Kugel no sweat. So I just stuck with that if I want a relaxed hunt. Also its a cheaper investment as you only need to focus on one set, unlike elements where you have to have a set for each build.
pierce up doesn't do anything for elemental ammos, only for pierce 1, 2, and 3. rapid fire up only works for rapid fire elemental, so it's useless for single shot LBG and HBG
I gotta say I'm a lil pissed how LBG got screwed over in the last TU. Even more frustrating was HBG getting such a boost. As if HBG needs a bloody boost lol
Hey, don't sell yourself short. You put out great content! So what if Phemeto put out a video on Gunning! Your vids have a lot more enthusiasm and less cynicism haha ;)
I’m a new lbg user and I want to just make one set of each element. Should I go single or RF? And explain why because everybody say single is stronger but I don’t never see nobody use it. Even in speed run they use RF.
single fire gets more motion value per tick per second, so it's higher damage overall. most speedruns of normal, non-afflicted monsters will run single shot. rapid fire is better for ammo conservation, so for longer hunts with higher HP afflicted monsters, rapid fire tends to be better because you have to restock less. if you look at (almost) any base, non-afflicted monster speedrun on the leaderboards done with elemental LBG, it's single shot. - Mizu, Tigrex, Diablos, Ludroth, Lucent Narga, Seething Bazel, Teostra, etc on the leaderboards are all single shot ele LBG Hope this helps explain it!
@@GoPlayNTraffic depends on the hunt, any afflicted monster over level 100 (and in multiplayer) it doesn't matter if you bring single or rapid, you'll have to go back to camp usually
