  • Changing an entire set of harp strings can be a daunting task. This video explains how to restring your entire harp, why you might want to do, and includes helpful information for those new to the process. A 47-string pedal harp is used an example, but all of the information is applicable to a lever harp as well. An understanding of changing individual strings is needed (for more information, see links to other videos below.)

Two things I did notice, when you where talking about changing the strings on your harp, were that you left the tuning key on the harp ( unattended) it could fall and damage the harp, and also you didn’t explain about how much slack was needed for the wire strings ,but all in all a very useful video.😇

Thanks for your thoughts. This video is just an overview of changing a whole set of strings, but i do have individual videos about each string type that discusses the process for changing them in depth. Here's the one about the wire strings (including leaving slack): ruclips.net/video/63WFzxNsIAg/видео.html
And yes, sometimes I leave my tuning key on the harp, although I tell my students not to do so!
