    I have a question about the lifespan of the harp. What year is the oldest harp you own and can play?

    • @bjacksonharp
      @bjacksonharp  Год назад +1

      Good question! The lifespan of a harp can depend on different factors, such as the quality of how the harp was built, how the harp was cared for during its life, etc. And often times harps have to undergo procedures to maintain their lifespan, like getting a new soundboard or hardware. So I don't have a definitive answer, but I have seen some 100 year old harps that are still functioning! Not sure if they had updated parts, or if one would consider harps with updated parts to be an original. But yeah lots of factors go into maintaining a harp's life!

      @@bjacksonharp Wow, 100 year old! Thank you.

    Can you turn your Harp into a lever harp?

    • @bjacksonharp
      @bjacksonharp  5 месяцев назад

      Hi! Do you mean installing levers on a harp that doesn't have levers or pedals? If so, yes you can order levers online from various vendors (Camac, Musicmakers, etc) and have a harp tech install them for you, or install them yourself if you are comfortable doing that!
