You must be the most organised person ever! I love seeing how other people organise and arrange their items. Piggies eating away at the end is a sweet bonus 🥰🐹
Love it, so organized! I have a c&c cage on a a few tables like yours, but under my tables I have five little tote tubs. One is labeled hay, which has all my hay in it, I just get a few bags of oxbow hay and dump it in there. Another tub is labeled pellets, same thing for those, I use oxbow garden select and pour them in that tub. Another tub is labeled Grooming, Health, and Supplements. There I store nail clippers, filers, pet brushes to brush my guineas fur, (I have all Abyssinians, so they have crazy hair), I have mineral oil and q-tips, vitamin c tablets, a scale, and my emergency kit. The next one is labeled Cleaning. In that tub I store my scoopers, dustpans, mini brushes, disposable gloves, deep cleaning supplies, and a waste bin for poos and debris. The last tub is labeled Fleece, where I have fleece pads, blankets, tunnels, snuggle sacks, cubes, hammocks, and beds. I also sewed them little fleece pillows that they love laying their head on. On these tables I have material hanging over the tubs, it looks neat. This isnt mine, but this is somewhat what it looks like. Just imagine a longer table with a cage on top, lol. www.pinterest.com/pin/AS7qbe1F_uc6NEI_m_Jo0UgpHQFTQz5war-EqJqCO7LzWmZvcHDNvM4/
Since covid we have been getting our groceries delivered to our house, so once in a while the radicchio we get is a bit soft. But by storing them in a container with a bit of water, it crisps it right up.
This video was great and very useful so much of my piggie food goes to waste so thank you for this! Also the ending of the talking guinea pig was just adorable!!
as of now I just keep my pellets in the bag in my storage space under the cage. I keep my hay in the box it comes in also which is from small pet select. I do use a few stay-fresh type veggie Tupperware containers for the fresh stuff. I usually will put the things that seem to go bad quicker in there, because it does work to keep it fresh longer than it would in a plastic bag or your average container
All veggie peelings from daily diet(guineas make you eat your veggies)and fieldgrasses dried stored in tent and the same kibbles and bits you showed as well ,moderation is the key,as you know these munchberries can eat all day, dream about it and beak for food ,opening fridge My late wife spoiled them,me too Always enough different dried grasses, wild oat, buds and edible leaves
This is how I store my guinea pigs food: Pellets: I keep it in the bag it comes in. I just get it from petsmart Veggies: for my lettuce I keep spinach containers and I put the lettuce leaves in that. For cucumbers I just keep it in the rap. for tomatoes I do the same thing you do. for carrots I keep them in the bag of comes in. for bell peppers I cut them up and put them in a container with a bit of water at the bottom. It keeps it good for about 2 weeks! Occasionally I will buy cilantro or parsley and I get keep it in a cup with some water. And with kale I cut it up and tap it in paper towel and put it in a large plastic bag. Hay: I keep it the way it comes! That's how I store my guinea pig food!
@@skinnypigs1 Amazon sells the containers and bags that neutralize the chemical given off by produce. You can reuse them a few times. I use good old Tupperware for my pellets and forage. If sun can’t get in the vitamin c stays potent longer. My tomatoes have a sticker on the lid begging me to not put them inside the fridge. If they aren’t great looking, I wash my peppers and put them in a green bag. If they look good then they will keep in my drawer with a green mesh thing that is supposed to neutralize the chemical too.
How much radicchio + pepper + tomato do you give per pig? I add celery daily. Ps: idk if you remember me but I used to come to your channel to learn learn about piggies and how to care for them. I'm a bit sad that is "the end of an era" and I wanted to show you my support by telling you how much your videos mean to me ❤️ I hope your piggies are doing great as you are the perfect guineapig mom ☺️
I heard about raddichio from your videos but I got lucky and found only one grocery store that sells it but only in really small quantity (4-6). But my guinea pigs love it when I can buy it .
I would love to use radicchio but where I live, it costs up to 6 dollars per head so I usually stick to red or green leaf lettuce bc its 2x the size and half the price, 2 heads of that last me about a week between my 5 piggies
Great ideas, question? Do you ever have problems with the quality of oxbow Timothy hay? My last two boxes weren't as nice as usual. Umbrella a little disappointed with it. 😐
@@guineapigsue7785 if you grow it you will probably see it’s green, only red after being grown in the dark a few weeks, I always think this must affect its vitamin content
How often do u change the veggies I think carrots go bad fast in a bag in air boxs I can let the veggies get some air I don't wanna give them unwanted gross outdated veggies which I do check on the veggies
I have done so many diff5things to try to keep my pigs from wasting their hay.. I've switched to every brand and variety out there and I found one they like but after a while they start wasting that too.. I've combined hays for them and used different hay feeders and made some and they still do it. Any suggestions??!

Yes, I find it is great for getting crispy with just some water.

Awesome video, Thanks Abby 💗
Thanks for watching!
Good idea, but regarding the pellets and the storage remember to use all of it and wipe it out don't mix it, and that way you avoid pests.
Neat idea, I wrap them in a paper towel and put them in a green food fresh bag.
Oh interesting!!

I do the same with my guinea pigs food

Oh that is good you found some.
Great Video Abby! Do you want the Radicco before you feed it to them? ❤🐹😘

Yes the Timothy lately is not the best, I messaged customer support because 1 box was so brown and no pigs liked it. They were helpful.
Yea, lots of dust and very prickly pieces.
Can't seem to buy Radicchio in the UK 😕
Oh really, that is odd!
I know it’s annoying, the only time you see it is in a mixed bag of salad. Have ordered some seeds to try and grow it myself 😉

I just buy enough veggies that it only lasts a week and I go buy more.
I only need a 4# bag of pellets and I keep them in an air tight container that's made for a 5# bag of flour, works great.
That's a great idea!

Hay waste happens no matter what, is just part of owning them I find.
How often can they eat bananas
One small slice per pig one to two times a week
4th and HI
