I love the Tenebrae. Once a Catholic always a Catholic. I converted to the Roman Catholic church in 1963 in Santa Barbara. I love the Latin Mass and liturgy. To bad those who want it are schismsatics
We are what you once were. We believe what you once believed. We worship as you once worshipped. If you were right then, we are right now. If we are wrong now, you were wrong then.
BRAVO To Pro Cantione Antiqua. I Love your intonation of Palestrima's Lamentations Of The Prophet Jeremiah, Excellently Done, God Bless U All. Mr. Granville S. Wright, Dramatic Baritone, Church Musician, And Toastmaster.
Genialne dzieło wielkiego Palestriny w genialnym, ponadczasowym wykonaniu! Absolutne mistrzostwo! Dzięki temu człowiek przenosi się w doskonały świat Absolutu! Jedno z najlepszych dzieł w najlepszym wykonaniu - wciąż fascynuje i zdumiewa!...
De plus en plus attire et élevé par cette musique renaissance , cette sublime complainte des hommes à l'adresse de dieu ,afin qu'il leurs donne l'espérance.
Even though I belong to another church I find spiritual nourishment in Palestrina's Counter-Reformation music. We all have reason to "lament" from time to time.

Bien plus que la référence à la Religion, c'est à l'esprit de la Renaissance et à l'apogée de notre civilisation que cette musique et ces voix magnifiques me font penser...

Palestrina is brilliant, a holy voice of worship. I'm not Roman Catholic. Though Mary is special in our holy catholic faith, shared by all who love and follow Jesus, I do not worship her. She is not part of the Trinity. I'm constantly bewildered by the worship of Mary.
Catholics HONOR and venerate Mary, no worship at all. We honor Christ's Mother, she is "full of grace...Blessed among woman.." the Hail Mary is half right out of the bible and half from the Church. Honor your father and mother as God has said, and while you're at it, honor His Mother too..
Thanks for the explanation, Mark. "Venerate" is the best word for all followers of Jesus, from all places. The thing I truly can't grasp is churches where Mary is not venerated. Again, thanks.@@markwalkerrocker4Jesus

Punctuated by the letters of the Hebrew alphabet, ‘Beth’ is particularly beautiful sound world.

Very rarely I use the word "sweet" about the male voice. But here I do!

Song of Angels
Being attacked by an advertisement in the middle of this was painful.
These ads are really frustrating and horrible

Ils avaient la foi ne vous en déplaise !
Magnifique, mais la version de Lourenço Rebelo, avec ses dissonances si étranges, est plus impressionnante et touche davantage.
We have emerged from the Void, we will return to Chaos. In the middle there is love, hate, dreams and countless works of men and women !
. . . and eventually will return on the horse we rode in on...
