This series (and the preceding State of Origin series) was pretty much my introduction to rugby league when I started at Bond Uni. I think I preferred the game as it was then.
I was at this game, cracker of a night. The Barmy Army was in the Stands and came into the Northern Outer at half time - bad move, so we started a near riot with them LOL!!
Australia were and are a terrific Rugby league team however I'd forgotten how good GB were as well, there was some serious talent playing in that series and four years previously for that matter.
It was a good performance that the Poms held Australia to 1 try, Thats what an Australian coach does, improve a sides defence which is what wins games, wasnt no ref that gave Australia the game, they were too good as usual.

It's not about VHS... it depends how it was captured or transcoded. Age has nothing to do with it; you can get achieve 4K these days depending on the source material.

Who were the commentators? They were woeful. I think the English guys were a bit hard done with the refereeing tbh. Lousy commentator though!
