20:56 based on how unpopular a lot of the network’s shows were during this period, I bet a lot of affiliates wished they could’ve gotten away with as many preemptions as WPTF got away with during their NBC affiliation. They had to fight the FCC to get access to the entire NBC schedule only to find it declining into a bunch of shows they didn’t even want! They would have left sooner if Brandon Tartikoff and Grant Tinker hadn’t turned things around when they did, but even that did not bring more viewers to the station since the NBC stations in the surrounding parts of North Carolina had stronger signals and people without cable, which my family had, watched those.

WRGB is your Southern CBS Neighbor. It was replaced by your Southern NBC Neighbor WNYT TV13 in 1981.

Montreal just over the rainbow, which had the Games four years earlier. WPTZ (and the rest of NBC) was to have the Moscow Olympics that summer, till Jimmy Carter threw a wrench in those plans.
