I think best progression path is to farm range till you can afford Osmumtem's Fang and Serpentine Helm. Even if rest of your gear will be mixed hide or low level tank gear, kills will be faster on average than crossbow, on same budget tier.
@@akio159 Osmumtem's Fang is a stab weapon (good against dragons) with high accuracy that cost pretty cheap for kind of damage it outputs. Right now you can buy Fang + serpentine helm for around 17-18mil, which is about as much as Rigor scroll cost. Serp helm give great melee bonuses and protect against venom, so no anti-venom cost. Biggest increase in kill time that you can get as a ranger on Vorkath is Dragon Hunter Crossbow. Before you get your hands on it, you will get more consistent and cheaper kills with Fang, because of low upkeep cost and high consistency, which includes ward, BGS or any extranious things you can get before that. Quick note - it is possible to get faster kills with crossbow because of Ruby bolts, but for every personal best, you will get just as many misses.

Quick tip: you can click your health near the minimal to clear the venom without interrupting combat/causing delay. Also, I’m pretty sure the Dcb spec removes the ruby bolt proc chance, so I always save mine for the diamond bolts.
Around 250 health I switch bolts. The higher you max hit is with the Diamond Bolts, the sooner you want to switch. So having higher ranged level, or upgrading to the DHCB, will have you switching bolts a little sooner. But ~250 is a good spot
Yeah, i was curious about it because Osmumtens Fang is so cheap, it vaults Vorkath into a viable money maker at what, 12 mil? As opposed to 65 mil for dhcb. Fang might even be better than Lance at lower levels? Not sure. Very curious about it, Vorkath was like the first money maker i did on my main, after i played with barrows. Iconic old school boss.

Good question. Prolly ~60 hours? Maybe more if I include all the time I spend on stream YAPPIN instead of fighting the boss. DHCB really carried hard towards the end. So doing another 100m with it would be pretty quick no doubt
There will be budget raids videos! I don't plan on using the Trident of the Seas as a starting weapon for any of these vids outside of Raids though. There's not many PvM money makers that use only magic, where the staff would be worth. (Whisperer has the most potential, but I'd make that vid after any raids vids atm)
I may need to go ahead and do those 300 chompy kills to see how elite void holds up. I’ve been using melee not the best gear but gets the job done. Torags top and bottom, dfs, fang, d boots, Rada 3, serp helm. Not having to use a space for venom allows me to bring an extra pray pot and torags is surprisingly tanky. Made about 5m go before I left. Was praying I got a blue dragon task to get a high of but got greater demons so I’ll be at tormented demons for the foreseeable future 😂😂 hopefully I’ll get my first 90 fb stat there
Evoid is a slight increase, mainly the prayer helps a lot, particularly if you are in with lower levels I'd recommend Defender in your setup, particularly because tank armor and serp give a ton of defense from vorks range
He will have a Lunar Isle portal in his house, you then bank with the "friendly" banker after the quest (he lets you talk to him without a seal of passage) then talk to an unfriendly banker who then kicks you off the island and you are sent to Rellika. From there free boat ride back to vorkath.
Wish you show what you bought to start out with. See if you use the full 2mil. And what you spend it on. That just me being picky haha. Which is a better money maker with budget gear. Vorkath or the slug. (Quest secret of the north.)

Eat up. Raising mage level increases your magic defense and may help a tiny bit, but expect to get hit a lot, mage attacks in this game are generally very accurate
Having run off is only really helpful during the acid phase. Personally I always keep run on during Vork, and just ctrl click to walk when I'm Woox walking the acid phase.

Range attack hits harder & void doesn’t give you any range defense so you’ll get hit more consistently, as opposed to mage; almost all range armor gives some mage defense.
Sorry for the noob question but I thought you had to use protect from mage at Vorkath or at least I did when I used blowpipe. Does the dragon fire shield and anti drag fire potion work as the two types of dragon fire protection and so can protect from range?
@@TheEdB0ysthanks, and I suppose because you’re using void the range attached shred. Whenever I’ve done Vorkath before it was with BP and mage prayer, using Karils the range didn’t hit quite as bad.
You need 3 levels of fire protection for immunity, super af provides 2 and mage or ward/dfs/ads is the 3rd When ranging, your defense bonus is very low so you need ads or ward + pray range to not get shredded.

Absolutely Rigor is so much better than eagle due to the damage bonus. Only reason to not grab it would be if you were going melee setup instead It's very cheap these days, my rig cost about 70m!
The dhcb itself is also a massive powerspike for this boss. Your kills per hour spike sharply with both, you'll be using less food too Also recommend more range levels, each level is around +1%
Get rich in OSRS, buy $200 worth of bonds...cough...cough...hey man, I did vorkath for 200 kc and got pet...no reason to waste time farming money when I can spend a day of works pay on 200m lol, pure fun instead of farming money to have fun =)
For most players, farming money is part of the fun. Buying bonds to skip over some progression is totally fair if that's what you want to do, but don't act other players don't enjoy actually playing the game
Stepping back and fourth does waste ticks when using a weapon with an odd attack speed (like the Crossbow or the Fang, which are 5 tick weapons). I will have a section discussing how to Woox Walk without wasting ticks in the full guide coming ASAP!
@@Brocheski29walking back 3 tiles with DHL is also wasting ticks. DHL is 4 tick attack speed, you want to walk 2 tiles back to not miss ticks. With a Fang which has 5 tick attack speed, walk 2 back then one to the side and click back on Vork and repeat. This means you need at least a 2x3 tile acid free block in front of Vork when Woox walking with a Fang.
This boss singlehandedly pulled me out of the depths of poverty. 7k kc over 2 weeks -> 1b in the bank and ready to challenge any content in the game. Biggest upgrades - Ranged/Combat levels - Rigour/Piety - DHCB/Lance/Fang - Ward/Defender - BGS/Claws - Woox walking - POH pool I started with Range and switched to melee after i had the max range setup at the time. Melee max gear is much more expensive but provides very low value per gp at the top end.
While I can't recommend doing 7k kc, I can recommend doing as much as you can handle, switching tasks, bosses, or training methods when you get bored! It will add up even just doing a few hours each day
@scowlyy it certainly wasn't, but I accomplished my goals, bought a bowfa setup, and slapped the inferno with what I made. Farming 1 boss is all it takes

Tbow/Bowfa aren't as good as Crossbows for Vorkath. Largely because you want to use a shield for the Dragonfire Plus this is a budget vid. Tbow is not quite a budget weapon.

So you use ruby bolts for the first half of the kill, then switch to diamond? When do you switch?
Around 250 health I switch bolts. The higher you max hit is with the Diamond Bolts, the sooner you want to switch. So having higher ranged level, or upgrading to the DHCB, will have you switching bolts a little sooner. But ~250 is a good spot

You can also just have your house in relikka and run up from the house portal.
For this grind I had my house in Rellekka, and was just teleporting outside the house to get back to Vorkath
I do home tele to waterbirth isle portal in home to vorky.
Diary boots are fastest but eat 1 invent
Lunarkick is second fastest, only by a few ticks
Poh run is an easy option

that’s pretty normal. if you’re not using rigour use a different defense prayer to help up your defense. otherwise you kinda just gotta tank it.

I turn my run off during the woox phase and back on after to avoid 99bombs easier.

This is correct for the melee setup.
You would only pray mage with range setup if you can't equip ads/ward (blowpipe setup)

Can vorkath be soloed on mobile?
It is a solo only boss, and is definitely doable on mobile. My Mobile only account is ~100kc and the kills have been solid
I learned vork on mobile and have over 500kc on mobile alone. Very doable

If you're gonna stay at vorkath to get rigour as well just get the dhcb. 30% accuracy and 25% dmg is huge.
