I got to 5 kills the other day without taking any damage from specials and idk what clicked. I don’t do the w00x walk though. It’s important to count the attacks to know when the acid thing is coming, but I also count the acid attacks to know when they’re stopping. That helped

Vorkath is one of the best money makers in the game, so you're fine by only doing Vorkath. But there are other methods that can make a lot more too currently, like CG, Nex, and ToA for example

I use bastion pots for ranged and def bonus, then bring only karambwans as food because they're cheap. That's with a nearly maxed setup of dhcb, df ward, elite void, blessed d'hide boots, and dragon bolts. Pretty effective when my internet decides to hold out.
Bastion potions are nearly useless here. Most of the damage you’ll take while ranging is from magic. Magic is mostly rolled against your magic level, not your defence level.
I put off DS2 for soooo long lol. I got 95 Slayer the other day. I'm level 123 and I still need to do mm2 and song of the elves. Anyways I'm half way though ds2 and I gotta fight vork for the first time. I have a bad feeling about it lol

Yet, when I try Hydra lol I've died 4 times trying to range it. And I tried meleeint and finally got my first kill with that... But yeah I beat DS2 got my ferocious gloves now time to make money and get my damn upgraded accumulator
I used to loan new players dhcbs for vorkath grinds. Only had 2 scammed, the rest were so grateful to have their needs met 90% followed thru and paid me back there was seriously a time when I was making more money from loaning dhcbs than doing vorkath for a whole hour

I know it's ranged only video, but i recently had a Vorkath task and without dragon hunter crossbow i figured that range worth mainly for ultra cheap and under max gear setups. At 30~40 mil you will have a lot better time with melee tank-ish setup, with Osmumtem's Fang and Serpentine helm. Mainly because Fang is ultra cheap nowdays and dragon hunter weapons are comparativelly expensive. I still think that ranging Vorkath, especially with dragon crossbow and ruby bolts is really good for a cheap setup, that's how i got my first 50 kills for head drop. But Void has no defense, which makes range attacks hit high and durning particulary bad attempt you can go through half of the supplies, just by taking those. Also you save quite a bit on supplies if you tank, with kill times still being comparable or faster. Edit: also i recommend investing in Odium ward for mid setup. It's fairly cheap ( cheaper than archer's ring) and it give +12 ranged and +4 range str. Anti-dragon shield is nice, but you won't be taking much damage from occassional fire attack anyway, with super anti-fire and mage prayer. You also will be getting big bonus to range defense, which void settup lacks. Dragon Crossbow and Odium Ward are truly unsung heroes for range gear, which everyone forget about.
Im happy to see my setup is the right one, im missing peg boots and elite void but even without can still get about 4 kills a trip, one thing i really struggle with is attacking him during the venom pool phase, cant seem to get them clicks on point without messing up, im gonna practice that until i have it down to a tee, thanks for the vid 👍
It's nice for some added defense, but it's a lot more expensive to use, so I prefer just ranging pots. If you're having trouble with trip length, more defense will be helpful. But if you're already getting like 5 kills on a trip, then you're filling up with loot, and it prolly doesn't help much to use less food at that point.
zack make a melee version dog, I do melee 24/7 and thanks to your 1 hour of vorkath melee video I was able to really see how things works and what strats.
Only if you REALLY plan on sticking to Vorkath until you make up the money. If you think you might use the non-Vorkath gear and items in the meantime, then I wouldn't sell them just for ZCbow in here
Bastion potions are a nice upgrade over ranging pots and would it not be better to bring a twisted buckler (more ranged strength than anguish!) and pray mage (similar to bringing avernic on melee setup) for more dps? Thanks for the vid!
Bastions are solid, though a little pricey. Still a good upgrade. Dragonfire Ward to Twisted Buckler isn't quite as big of a DPS upgrade as Dragon Defender to Avernic Defender. Plus, when you're in melee gear you have really good ranged defense. You're better off staying on protect from ranged when using ranged to take a lot less damage, so it's not worth the extra ranged str from the buckler imo
Great video! Recently got back into the game, and totally missed the blowpipe nerf. Will be testing the dragon crossbow out soon. Question though: would a twisted buckler be an upgrade over the anti-dragon shield in the medium setup, and use it with some extended super antifire potions?
TLDR; No. It’s possible, but you would take a LOT of damage from ranged attacks because you would have to pray mage, void has like no defense, arguably you could use blessed hide but honestly you’d still get wrecked by range and lose out on pretty substantial dps by losing the 10/12.5% damage and accuracy from void. Dfw isn’t much more expensive than buckler, about 3m more And you wouldn’t have to worry about the aforementioned issues.
How would a bowfa do? I know for sure that dhcb would beat it but say you had a bowfa already and no dhcb, i imagine people wouldn't sell it to buy the dhcb
Bowfa isn't too bad. It keeps up with ruby dragon bolts (in a Dragon Crossbow) as long as you have full crystal instead of void. Full crystal is better defense too, which help you out since you don't have a shield on now. You have to protect from magic w/o a shield, and his ranged hits are stronger than magic. You'll likely take more damage w/ Bowfa than you would w/ a Crossbow & shield, but it will still get you solid gp/hr
Definitely worth it during the Vorkath fight, since his loot is so good it makes up for how expensive they are. I would only use Dragon Bolts for good bossing money makers though, like Vorkath, and Raids stuffs.
Yeah Salve is pretty big. Anguish is still a good necklace, but you'll see nice boosts from the salve. Try to squeeze in some AFK Nightmare zone hours in when you can. Or there's always Soul Qars I guess 👀 but I like nmz myself
i have reg void but for some reason when i use my blessed dhide setup i damage vorkath more consistently than i would if i was wearing my void setup so idk if im doing something wrong while wearing void
Would archer ring be better than ring of suffering ? 97 range 87 def elite void everything maxed but wondering if suffering would stop them nasty mage attacks smashing me up and save me buying manta rays
Ring of Suffering won't take away that many Mage hits, as it's just +10 mage defense. Having to tank some damage is just part of the fight. So I'd rather use an Archer's Ring (i) for better DPS, albeit not a whole lot more since Rings are pretty underpowered
Thinking about selling my most my bank to buy dhcb and rigour and camp vorkath for a couple days. Do you think it would be worth it? Most of my money is in melee gear which I’ve been using for slayer recently but I need a big boost to the bank
As long as you really commit to getting Vorkath KC, it will be very worth it. If you only get a few kills and decide you don't like it, selling things back on the GE will cost you a little thanks to the tax. Imma fan of Vorkath kills so I'd say go for it. You'll make some good account progress
I discussed the salve ei in this video, so idk what you're asking Keep in mind it only needs to be enchanted (e) if you're using melee in anyway, including the BGS spec. But if you're 100% ranged only, then you only need Salve(i)

I missed the prayer, and didn't move the box for the boots (the default position for the box was the wep), but that's it? We have different definitions of "many". I'm glad it was still helpful tho!
I can tell you using bgs is actually not worth using at all because it makes you lose inventory and also i have over 1k kills in vork and i get more kills not bringing the bgs
1 Inventory space to speed up your kills is worth it. Even the 2nd space for the void helm is still worth the ~40 health in food you're not bringing. Not once you have the DHCB (like I said in the video). I'm up to ~3.4k Vorkath now, and I've seen a difference when using the BGS. So idk what you've been doing wrong in your 1k kc. Also your comment about the protection prayers is true, but I explain that more in depth in my actual Vorkath guide. This was not a guide to teach mechanics..

It depends on your stats and other gear, but Masori (f) should be better than Elite Void

Pretty sure dhide and armadyl are better than void until your ranged level is very high
Would archer ring be better than ring of suffering ? 97 range 87 def elite void everything maxed but wondering if suffering would stop them nasty mage attacks smashing me up and save me buying manta rays
Ring of Suffering won't take away that many Mage hits, as it's just +10 mage defense. Having to tank some damage is just part of the fight. So I'd rather use an Archer's Ring (i) for better DPS, albeit not a whole lot more since Rings are pretty underpowered

Thinking about selling my most my bank to buy dhcb and rigour and camp vorkath for a couple days. Do you think it would be worth it? Most of my money is in melee gear which I’ve been using for slayer recently but I need a big boost to the bank
As long as you really commit to getting Vorkath KC, it will be very worth it. If you only get a few kills and decide you don't like it, selling things back on the GE will cost you a little thanks to the tax.
Imma fan of Vorkath kills so I'd say go for it. You'll make some good account progress

Keep in mind it only needs to be enchanted (e) if you're using melee in anyway, including the BGS spec. But if you're 100% ranged only, then you only need Salve(i)

I missed the prayer, and didn't move the box for the boots (the default position for the box was the wep), but that's it? We have different definitions of "many". I'm glad it was still helpful tho!

I can tell you using bgs is actually not worth using at all because it makes you lose inventory and also i have over 1k kills in vork and i get more kills not bringing the bgs
1 Inventory space to speed up your kills is worth it. Even the 2nd space for the void helm is still worth the ~40 health in food you're not bringing. Not once you have the DHCB (like I said in the video). I'm up to ~3.4k Vorkath now, and I've seen a difference when using the BGS. So idk what you've been doing wrong in your 1k kc.
Also your comment about the protection prayers is true, but I explain that more in depth in my actual Vorkath guide. This was not a guide to teach mechanics..
Unless you have dhcb bgs is so worth using, before bp nerf a big bgs spec would nearly half your kill time
I do Vorkath with melee.
I got lucky & bought a DHL when it was low at like 48 million.

I've had both "slow it down" and "why is the vid so long" so it's hard to find a balance of both, but more people have complained about long videos so I usually try to be quick about it when the topic gets long. Your feedback is noted tho
If we're only talking about a 'tad' longer, then I must only be a tad quick so I imagine you can still catch what I'm saying, but they're always the 0.75x speed button too. Not an elegant solution, but it's there lol
