I started taking CS courses online at Auburn by the end of 2018. I was excited and ready to go. After a while, I realized I need to be in classroom setting. Between a full time job and caretaking for my brother, the finish line kept getting farther and farther. I stopped many times. Here it is 2021 and I'm still at least a year off. I would just like to finish.

Keep going! One step at a time. OSSU is a great resource even though it is online. Their discord community is strong.

    Thanks for this course.
I'm doing a Bachelor of IT but I don't necessarily want to become a programmer/developer. I do want to learn Python for scripting and automation purposes.
However, I've had a hard time learning Python because I don't understand the fundamentals of programming. I understand the syntax but don't actually understand how to put everything together to write a program.
This course would be absolutely beneficial. I hope to understand the fundamentals so that I can jump right into learning Python again, but this time, understanding what I'm doing and why.
In the previous Diploma I did, I was given a week to learn Python and write a graded 70+ line program to create a menu with options to generate encryption keys, encrypt files with those keys and decrypt them using an imported supplied .py file. It was incredibly stressful learning that way. Basically just threw us face first into a week of suffering without teaching us anything besides printing 'hello world'.
I hope you leave no stone unturned!

Not seeing to many introductions yet, so maybe I can help get the ball rolling.
I'm a retired IT professional, mainly from the hardware and networking side of things. I did get a BBA degree in Computer Information Systems, but that was already after 25 years in the industry. I have always dabbled on the software side of the IT world ever since I assembled an Altair 8080 back in 1975. Still have that jewel too! We've crossed paths on the DroneBotWorkshop as I've been working on building my own DB1 that Bill started on some time ago, but that has now seemed to stall and I'm looking for some ideas of where to go with DB1. I'm following your Robotics Programing series and now anxiously awaiting number episode 5 (My 3Pi+ is chafing at the bit to start moving forward without bumping into things!). Maybe my DB1 can morph into something like your Henry IX.
