A breakthrough treatment for incontinence and confidence. This unique technology revolutionizes women’s intimate health and wellness by providing those suffering from incontinence with a completely non-invasive option.
    How Does EMSELLA Work?
EMSELLA utilizes electromagnetic energy to deliver thousands of supramaximal pelvic floor muscle contractions in a single session. These contractions re-educate the muscles of incontinent patients.

That beginning was attention grabbing! I wrote “opening’ & changed it😂
Seriously I always liked the way things are discussed, very matter of fact & comfortable, no big deal. Some videos have that relaxed feel of almost discussing the weather or something.
Whether it’s appropriate to say the video made me smile, but it was good for me tonight!

Hi Vaga, Glad you liked it!
It's tricky doing a topic like this. I want to be serious, but also make it fun, interesting and most of all "not boring".

Important; Insurance does NOT cover Emsella treatment. It's been approved by the FDA for incontinence for over 10 yrs so if it actually worked for large numbers of women, then it would be covered by insurance by now.
*It's hard to find reviews from actual patients, but I have seen some that say it costs out of pocket from $1500 to $3000 for 6-8 sessions of about 28 minutes each & that it did nothing for them. Others said that it helped some, but it was only temporary & that you are scheduled to come back for "maintenance" sessions every couple of months, so that increases the treatment cost above the 6-8 initial sessions.
    >>>Just be aware if you want to try it.

Where are you located and how much do you charge per visit? The only place I found near me in Davenport Iowa charges $200 per visit. How much does this chair cost if I were to just buy one?

My clinic just got this machine. Our account manager when training said that the Protocol 2 was usually used for men's sexual health only, because it's weaker than the other, and that we would almost always use Protocol 1 for a combination of incontinence and sexual health. However, if you have a woman whose only goal is to improve sexual wellness, would you recommend using protocol 1 or 2? We have a case like that, and I want to be prepared when she comes in. Thank you!

Hello! We have seen that P1 is intended and very effective for urinary incontinence or those with a weaker pelvic floor, while P2 is used for sexual health/as a tune up for an already strong enough pelvic floor with no current issues.

Which protocol do you recommend for recovery of sexual function after urethroplasty surgery? My surgeon broke things that were just fine when he cut through nerves, blood vessels and muscles. Between physical therapy and dry needling, most of the massive scar tissue the guy left behind (partially due to the scrotal hematoma he left behind) is gone, my PT eventually discovered some atrophy of one half of the bulbospongiousis muscle, likely due to poor blood supply after it was split in half and then reapproximated with stitches afterwards to try to re-cover the bulbar urethra. It's been 4.5 years since surgery, and that muscle group does still not respond like it should. The doctor I'm seeing now who offers Emsella says "everyone starts with Protocol 1" but if my issue is with dysfunction, shouldn't I use Protocol 2, or at least start with 1 for a few sessions then migrate to 2 for the last three? Any insight you may have would be appreciated. Having a difficult time forgiving my surgeon who deviated from our plan for a buccal graft and instead ended up removing 5.3 CM of my bulbar urethra, creating serious trauma in that region. I would never have agreed to any procedure that involved excision and removal...I only agreed to grafting because it had no known long term issues. Anyway, I need to get my groove back and that has brought me to Emsella. Thoughts? Just had my second Protocol 1 treatment today and am back for 2 more sessions next week.

      Hi Brian,
Sorry you have been on such a horrible journey.
I would start you on Protocol 1, if you had the time and money, I may even have you do the first 6 with Protocol one, and then switch over to Protocol 2 and do another six. We typically scale people into Protocol 2, because it is a stronger cycle.
A big part is the feedback that you give. Does your pelvic floor feel tired after a session? Did it make you weaker for a few days (in regards of bladder control)? If you tell your doctor, I can take more, he/she may bring you up faster.
Are you doing the entire session at 100%?
If not, do the whole session at 100% and tell them you could do more.
Also don't wear jeans, where gym shorts or boxers.
If you are ever in the NYC area stop by!

@@lookgoodnakeddr.dougwillen1990 Have been at 100% since session 1 with no adverse effects for the first two sessions. I feel a little sore at about the 36 hour mark after each session but it’s not painful like the chronic pelvic pain I’ve been experiencing since the surgery. The pain along that perineal incision line has been off the charts for years as I have tried to increase my activity levels but I’m not experiencing that with these sessions. Never really had any bladder control issues and thank goodness. Not sure I could have handled being robbed of my sexuality and bladder control at the same time due to his sudden change of plans. Worse part is even after he deviated from the plan, he kept assuring me I’d be just fine in six months. At month 7 I was worse, and when I confronted him he informed me

@@lookgoodnakeddr.dougwillen1990 that he was taking a sabbatical and closing his practice, leaving me to fend for myself for the past 3.5 years. Found a lot of caring professionals who have tried to help but haven’t found that magic bullet yet. Was drawn to Emsella after I was making progress when my PT started using eStim to both confuse the nerve endings in that region and to stimulate blood flow but insurance wouldn’t pay for that treatment code despite it stating to produce result both in function, pain reduction and sensation. But they were more than happy to pay for me to meet with a psychologist to try to get over what has been diagnosed as medical PTSD but not the actual treatments that were stating to move me in a positive direction. The system is broken and I feel that I’m running out of options. If Emsella doesn’t work, then he has succeeded in completely breaking me and making the very outcomes I tried to avoid my permanent reality.

@@lookgoodnakeddr.dougwillen1990 I spoke with this provider about a hybrid protocol. 2-3 times on Prorocol 1, then the next 3 or 4 on Protocol 2. Can’t afford two separate 6 treatment sessions because I am mentally and financially tapped out having spent thousands of dollars per year since the surgery just trying to achieve some semblance of normal again. As a professional sports photographer I spend lots of my week at client events lugging and holding heavy gear and even more hours in my studio sitting and editing images. Prior to the surgery I could go 18 hours a day doing both…since the surgery if I can manage 8-10 hours of on-site and at my workstation it’s a small miracle because the breakthrough pain of the pressure and discomfort deep under that incision line is a major distraction and hindrance. I could sit for hours…no my max is 90 minutes before I have to get up and walk away to get a little relief. Toradol seems to help but my gut doesn’t like it and narcotics are not an option. So here I am, with my frustrating and life-altering surprise surgery which has left me wishing I had never met the surgeon or trusted him to do what he said he would do and what I agreed to. Worst part? Found a white paper he co-authored that demonstrated that it can take up to 4 years or never to fully recover functionality and sensation after an EPA Urethroplasty and that some men never fully recover from it. So he tells his patients they’ll be good to go in 6 months (to get us on the table) but tells his peers it can be 4 years or never? If I only had a time machine I would have walked away the morning of the surgery. But he has a convincing personality and we had an agreed upon plan until I was unconscious and then it was open season on my perineal region.
