I never expected that Mimic would be revealed in the trailer. The trailer thumbnail did a good job fooling me it was something else
To be honest, I like the “juxtaposition” take of Mimic’s…mimicry! Not only it’s like mocking the monsters in a prankster-like manner, but it’s also a bit of a reference to some players of the MSM community making “joke monster sounds” while goofing around with the recording studio in the original game! Talk about a double whammy!

Also there are only 7 seasonals in the main game which are likely to be in DoF that means we might see 5 new seasonals for the remaining months so there's always a limited time monster
I’m not sure about how it sounds on Continent but it’s cave sound is pretty good. I was NOT expecting Mimic to become a real monster, it’s so crazy!!

Here’s my theory about Dave’s secret recording. He could be redoing punkleton’s vocals for seasonal shanty. Because I recall that people are not pleased originally

My theory about the secret recording at the end is that it was a hint towards Seasonals in DOF, because that voice sounded a LOT like Punkleton to me.

It could be also possible they're having Dave and Maggie rerecord voice lines made after they had left for characters they voiced

Something I saw earlier was that someone was thinking that since Maggi is there at the studio as well, that they were getting her back to record Lyircs for Maggpi, meaning that Maggpi and Stoowarb might get an island together.
I bet it's at fire oasis, don't know how maggpi would be on haven though

They just casually dropped one of the most mysterious, hyped and theorized monster since the release of the first game

I really wasn’t expecting this? I know i rarely ever play dawn of fire but as soon as I saw the thumbnail I rushed immediately to dawn of fire without even clicking the video, didn’t expect mimic to make that sound but it’s still good :) thanks dude, could’ve missed out on a lot, plus no one talkes about rare astropod :(

I’m really happy to see mimic but I’m sad that it didn’t do what it used to being recording your own sound like a custom monster.
I think seasonals might be coming in dof, punkleton is coming soon in the next Spooktacle, and he is voiced by who? Dave Kerr, the sound seems to be ga ga, like a baby rambling but also, its the ending of hoo ga boo ga. Also, Dave Kerr is the voice of Yool too, so it would make sense that they use his presence to voice these two monsters that have events coming up soon. but that's just my theory.

Sad thing is… DOF is ending. The final monsters are Bowhead,Tuskski,and Gnarls. And there’s few Prismatics left. The DOF community might move on from DOF and stick with the OG (which is way better) DOF might end in 2024. ):

If Mimic can mimic any monster, I think we should be able to choose which monster it mimics. But I love the Mimic anyway.

What if because it can shaft shift, that means when/if they get added to MSM they can shape shift into any monster and then they repeat after that monster, or they repeat after the colossals?
The sincerest for of flattery, is mimicry. The monster handlers have the most creative names for stuff
Theory: Rare Wubbox will come to Wublin Island once everyone Wublin gets a Rare. Also Mimic might be the air quint, its not a fire element, BUT its possible that, despite not being a fire element, it could happen. Also, why would BBB decide to do elemental quints without doing air? After all, it wouldn't makes sense to leave a monster out.
