I mean it's not an uncommon shotgun. There are a shit ton of different TOZ shotguns in Russia. Russian citizens are able to own shotguns and they need to own a shotgun for I think 5 years without incident to be able to own a rifle. So the civilian market is loaded with them. They have so many shotguns in fact that they even made a smoothbore AK pattern called the Vepr-209, chambered in .366 and legally it's considered a shotgun. So if you're Russian and you want to own an "AK" then you can buy a Vepr-209. Own it for 5 years and then you can buy a proper AK. It wasn't very well known outside of Russia until Escape From Tarkov became popular, but the TOZ shotguns have been in a lot of media.

I know the TOZ-194 because it was in Battlefield Bad Company 1's multiplayer. It was only in the singleplayer in 2 though. I loved the animation of shotguns in those games.
the shotguns should absolutely penetrate walls. ive been in the presence of 2 3/4 00 buck pellets go from a bedroom wall through an interior wall towards a living room and still have energy penetrate out an exterior wall. each pellet has the velocity and weight of a 115gr 9mm ball round.

I'd imagine it's likely we saw this gun added, because it plays in to the category of "insurgent weapons" things like AKM's, G3's etc. It's a low end, low budget weapon, that fits the aesthetic perfectly.
I'm with you, man. I play solo exclusively and I paired the 870 with the sniper magnum and it was awesome for the same reasons Gamermii listed. Gonna have to try the TOZ, though. I've never actually used it or well, alot of weapons in the game yet. Mostly just the iconic ones. By the way that combo is totally badass.

I’d be fine with maybe the KSG, but even then, they’re complex shotguns that make no sense for the setting. No military uses them, and they wonky to use in combat. The AA-12 couldn’t be balanced, and SPAZ-12 is another rare shotgun that not many were produced and didn’t really ever see combat, the VEPR-12 is basically another seiga. Maybe a M1014 for security and another tube fed semi auto, but I think semi autos would be completely broken.
they can't add auto shotgun because the armor in this game is almost non existent they would just break the balance of the game. maybe if they can implement a better armor physics that's the time that auto shotgun would enter the game itself
The P90 has been pictured in the hands of Hamas militants, also with the F2000, possibly sourced from Libya. I was of the same opinion it wasn't fitting to include it but that's the rational behind adding it to the Insurgents.

00 buck goes through 1 human and six layers of drywall, on occasion. Number 4 buck can go through 1 human and 2 layers. Slugs have been known to go through 1 human and a concrete block wall. There is no reason for the penetration model on shotguns to be as bad as it is. And flechette ammunition is largely a gimmick and doesn't really help anything at all.
I'm always happy to use shotguns in this game. They're diffrent from rifles, and my be less suited for certain situations, but they're fun and satisfying every time i field them.

Can you do a series just called "I hate push". Basically talk about your experience in push mode as a domination player. And I highly encourage you to check out the original Insurgency 2 on source engine. That would explain a lot of design choices and community behavior in Sandstorm.
Just wish they added the oldschool insurgecy weapons they left behind for no reason, and ALL its maps as well, instead of some CoD weapons and fortnite skins no one asked for. Also, can't wait to see the new bugs they'll add in this next update.

Most shotguns they have are made for civilian use, but nowadays they're making some new designs. But for an insurgent force that's using whatever they can get, a crate of civvie hunting shotguns isn't gonna be that bad. Still weird that having no stock does nothing to its stats. And for me, I've seen enough TOZ brand shotguns in Tarkov. Be happy they didn't give you the TOZ-106/MTs 20-01
To be fair, it does make sense why they wouldn't be interested in military shotguns given the fact that they are illegal weapons of war according to the Geneva Convention. Not that they'd care.

I love you, I really want to like this game but it is *bad* I have played it for hundreds of hours you can't say shit shuttup But you do what I do whenever I play, what if the toz was an overfolder and let you switch between manouvrability and stability, what if the stupid qts whatever had an airburst and the ability to use rifle mounted ordanance while also having a foregrip I cant remember my rant now but I went off about a map that would have been perfect, taking advantage of verticality with taller buildings, cluttered streets with lots of small buildings, and then long open stretches for snipers and whatever else and you could use any gun and there would be a place for you, this is the bare bones of what I remember of the idea but you get my point, always havin ideas like this when I played that game and recently I gave up on it, because my what if... is what if the game good I not tryna *bully* but I am kinda tried of sandstorm... cause imagine if they had a SANDSTORM in insurgency **SANDSTORM** I really wanted to feel how I did playing the original, with mah lil squad moving up through closish quarters place, streets and alleys, small skirmishes and then moments of rest where we chilled and planned the next push forward... sandstorm never got close... the ONE place in that whole game that reminded me of the feeling, was an almost out of bound busted building on a random map that had no sight lines to anything that only one other person ever came near, but I could just see myself setting up a sniper perch in there looking out a crack in the wall, with a huge chunk of the floor missing and stairs and the open back everyone needing to cover angles to make sure we didnt get ambushed... but it was looking at a bunch of rocks, on the outskirts nowhere near any random letter of the alphabet you know what this game did right.. it has dovetail scopes for the ak's, shells that linger on the ground, and pretty, detailed reload animations... but no fuckin soul, at least not any of the times I played it and I wish it was as cool as the ideas you spin I wish their team was either creative enough or capable enough to have made a game like that... I wish I still liked Insurgency

About secondaries, I tend to use the sniper MR73 build with this in Domination. That combo is freakin' toxic.
You got some close range with the shotty, and pocket mosin is great at a range.
