    1)The precipitate will be in yellow colour

    Q) lead iodide will be yellow in colour.
    Q) magnesium slowly reacts with moist air and forms a white coating MgO on its surface. This hinders the burning of magnesium. Therefore magnesium ribbon should be rubbed with sand paper before burning.

    We must rub magnesium ribbon with sand paper because it has a protective layer on it after rubbing , it will be removed and the Oxidation takes place.

    Around the Mg ribbon there is a protective covering which will not allow Mg to react. So that we have to rub Mg ribbon to the sand paper

    ~ We should rub the Mg ribbon with sandpaper because there is a protective coating covering the Mg ribbon. When you rub the ribbon with sandpaper, the protective coating will be removed. Once the coating is gone we can burn it.

      to covering the mg ribbon. When u will rub the ribbon with sandpaper, on that time the protective coating will be removed mam. Once it gone we can burn it....

    Because magnesium is very reactive matal it reacts with oxygen and formed magnesium oxide on outer surface when we buru it it doesn't reacts rapidly so we burn it before burning

    Mg ribbon is cotted with protective layer for protection like not to rust and so on .when we remove it with sand paper the thin cotted layer will removed so as it is removed it easily react to burn with Oxygen

    Ans:-Magnesium metal is highly reactive.In conditions, it reacts with oxgyen to form magnesium oxide over it's outer layer. To remove this layer and to expose the underlying metal into air, the magnesium ribbon is cleaned by sand paper

    Because magnesium having protective coating so in the presence of protective coating the reaction cannot work when we rub the magnesium in sand paper it's remove protective coating once protective coating removed then magnesium reaction take place

    Because the protection layer is formed on the magnesium(Mg) ribbon it can't provide to Burning so by rubbing with sand paper it will whispering then it react with oxygen(O2)

    Magnesium should rub to sand paper before burning because if we burn without rubbing it didn't show reaction coz it is having layer called protective layer we have to remove this protective layer from rubbing to sand paper then only magnesium reacts with other elements or oxygen 😃

    The magnisium ribbon should be rubbed with the sand paper because it contains the protective layer, to remove these protective layer we need to rub the magnesium ribbon with sand paper.

    The moment we add both potassium iodine and lead nitrate which are colourless, a chemical reaction occurs and the solution changes into bright yellow colour.
    Thus, the colour of PbI2 is Bright yellow!

    The Mg ribbon has a outer protective covering
    If the presence of this covering it not allows us to burn
    So if we rub the Mg ribbon with sand paper it removes the outer covering then we can easily burn the Mg ribbon
