In this short video, I go over how to check and set timing when you are running a coil on plug (COP) conversion kit. This particular kit is from SpeedyEFI.
So helpful! I’ve had a DIY COP conversion for a few months and my dumb ass thought I could still using a timing light. Once again, great content, keep it up! 🙌
@@ConnorsCorner1 thank you. Idk why I commented here instead of just text you on Facebook🤣. Zach was making me think you need a resistor or else your tach wouldn’t work. Smh🤣
Nah they shouldn’t. I’ve marked my CAS for 12 degrees and I didn’t have to move it at all after the COP kit. This particular one is from SpeedyEFI, great little kit.
Thanks. Too easy…

I think some of the more expensive timing guns can pick up the signal via the wire, but my cheapo HF one cannot
that's really clever 👍
very useful ty
Glad I could help!!
Did your tach still work. Or did you need a resistor for the diagnostic box?
Yep tach worked fine, no issues. To run COP you need to be on an aftermarket ECU though.

Does cops alter timing? What coos did you go with?

@@ConnorsCorner1 great. Enjoying the build. Will be doing something similar with speeduino in the future
