I love Tanya’s laugh. And that beautiful horse stretched herself out as much as she possibly could to keep her back feet on terra firma to comply but preserve herself from dying in that scary box monster. Another horse-human relationship secured for the better of both :)
Dear Steve and Tanya, Such a great video and really appreciate you telling people to ALWAYS BE CAREFUL! Heard an animal trainer (lions, tigers and such) when asked "what was the hardest animal to train?" He said "the horse" because people don't expect a problem from them, and they can be very DANGEROUS BECAUSE OF THE UNEXPECTED. So take care (I know you do) and not to scare folks, but TAKE CARE!!!!!
Tanya reminds me of my husband. He supports me in every way with my horses. He has never stated how expensive it is to keep them (we are not wealthy) he feeds them since I have lost some health. He transports the 5 ton of hay and then stacks it in the heat of summer. Well I could go on. All this but riding is not his joy. I have pictures of him walking with me riding in the hills around our area. He did not have an accident on a horse. As much as I would really love it if he were riding beside me I will take what I get. He and Tanya are great partners.
The first morning we got our OTTB my daughter and I found him with blood running down his face. It was the result of Fin hitting his head on something when he was being turned out by the barn owner. He is tall at 17 hands. From that morning on, it was my job to take care of him and our Appaloosa, Mia, every morning! I love RUclips and follow Steve Young Horsemanship. Steve, I love what you have taught me. I just celebrated my 70th birthday, and have watched you and Tanya over a year now. I love when you show how to teach your horse to lower his head while unloading from a horse trailer. I thought I would use this technique for Fin while leaving the barn thru an overhead garage door! It was a total success! You taught me “to make my idea, his idea.” Every morning as I pull up the door over him, he lowers his head!!! It always tickles me! Thank you, Steve Young!
Happy anniversary to the cutest couple on RUclips! What a sweet and gorgeous horse! Tanya, I really love your commentary and when you show us the other animals around the stables. I had a good laugh at you two renewing your vows at a drive-through wedding chapel in Vegas!
Happy Anniversary to you both! Steve, an amazing video and what a gorgeous horse. Another successful loading, but the ground work is so important, isn't it? You can tell this horse has been loved and cared for so the gentleness you showed with her was lovely. Maybe someday I'll make it there from here in the US to meet you and Tanya. It would be a dream come true for me. Love you Steve and Tanya! 🥰
Another horsey saved by Steve and Tanya! I fell in love with the horse, when Tanya was cuddling her, she's a beauty!!! Love to hear about your LOVE STORY and the pics when you both were so very young! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY - you two are WONDERFUL PEOPLE!!! God Bless!!!!
Tanya you have a joyful, God given laugh! We all LOVE It! Please don’t pay attention to a couple of Crabby-Appletons ( American term) 😂. From an American non horse owner but a horse lover, you are a great team! I love how you guys appreciate many things from the west. Thanks Yee hah! 🤠 You are a lovely with each other and the owners and horses you help. Happy Anniversary!
Steve and Tanya it has been a fantastic trip watching and getting to know you through your videos. I am just so proud to share your videos with all the horse people I love, you and Tanya are lovely people,I had Horses all my life, but then got where I couldnt ,and I miss them so much I live through the adventures of you and Tanya and the many horses you have helped. I am 66 years old and my goal in life is to get back on a horses back, they have been my first love all my life, thankyou for sharing your life and videos with all of us,my back went out from a car accident, and have been on once since that time I am from Princeton,Mn,my best friend is the one who got me on my first shetland ponie and have stayed best friends our whole life so sixty years, she has never been without a horse in her life,I once heard you say,you are not to much into the mystical part of horses, and I would say you are the mystical side of horses, you have shown so many side's of that in every horse I have watched of you,a horse touches your life and never leaves, once a horse lover always a horse lover,I remember at four years old dreaming of them and wanting my own horse, I got my first Ponie at 14 years of age which ended up our whole family becoming part of the world of horse,I will forever continue watching you and loving what you do,as it keeps me connected forever with this wonderful world of Horses thank you both for sharing your love of horses and your lives with me ,I am Forever a fan,and I love the welsh background and accent you have,I will be watching you and Tanya as long as I live, and where enchanted by the first video I ever saw of you with Charlotte, much admiration and love to you all ,Kathy Mcghan,I know have 93 horse statues of the BRYERS HORSE STATUES IN MY COLLECTION,MY FAVORITE BEING THE POWERFUL AND BEAUTIFUL FEREISSIAN.❤😊
Seeing Tanya in the barn with the mare especially warmed my heart. She liked Tanya and the expression on the sweet horses face made me smile from ear to ear ❤
Happy Anniversary to you both. I just love how sweet and loving you are to each other. I love your videos and just how absolutely adorable your family is. Just wonderful to watch. Thank you for sharing a lovely life with us. ❤
The way this mare gets on the ramp reminds me of the fear I had to overcome when first learning how to step on an elevator. Thank you for another fabulous video.
Happy happy! One thought I see is that the ramp is black. In other videos you've spread some hay on there. She may be thinking you're making her step into the abyss (plus the history of resistance of course). Love your style and gentleness.
That was unreal!! I can't stop smiling 😊😊 How fabulous you must have felt at the end of that day. A big day for all involved but well, well worth it for that horse and owner. Well Done Steve, bloody amazing you are 🙏🙏
Lovely! Another happy success. I do wonder if people couldn't get their horses used to boxing, by doing some pole work - walking over poles, strange designs on the ground, maybe putting the ramp on the ground so they know it's nothing to be frightened of; perhaps making up a fake box, going into a dark unusual stall, walking up & down slopes & ramps, in & out of tight spaces. Seems like owners might be able to do a lot of ground work in prep for loading. Do hope they removed that shelf, very scary - even imagine on the road if there was a sudden stop & the horse slid into that, could be very traumatic. Good luck, Callie! Well done Steve & Tanya.
First off Happy Anniversary to a beautiful couple Steve & Tanya ❤ again you never disappoint with your videos. This young mare is so pretty and so big , she seems so much happier now that’s why she’s thanking Tanya for bringing you to help her ❤🐴 well done love from New Jersey US 😊
It was so dark inside the Trailer, I couldn't tell if Caroline had removed that overhead obstacle. Had they? You are such a wonderfuly kind horse trainer. Wonderful. "The Last Drop Inn" reminded me of the Australian Country Song called "The Pub With No Beer."
Love your patience and ability to read the horse so well. Well done for another great video Steve and Tanya and thank you so much. I did wonder if Tanya rode horses because we’ve never seen her. Bless her I’m glad she’s okay from her experience. ❤
Beautiful work with this formerly frightened but lovely sweet filly, Steve! Ahh, I can’t recall her name which I always like to do ~ any chance you could add the horse’s names to your descriptions? I loved her loooong reach for Tanya’s kiss. I think Charlotte would love this gorgeous big girl too!
To share all this, and to share your family... Thank you so much. I adore seing Steves work with the horses. But also the team work with Tanya - who is doing an excellent job with the videofootage and Charlotte and sometimes also Dan. Thank you for your generosity. Awesom work with this mare. As every video. I think I will have to go to England to see a demo (I am in Sweden)!
I found you by mistake but I am so glad I did I just can’t stop watching your videos and I don’t even have horses however when I left school I always wanted to be a jockey so got my self a training jockey job which I loved , that was over 40 years ago I stayed there for about 12 months and moved onto to other things but my love for horses has never died , I would just like to say that you are all sensational people and a real joy to watch .
Is this your first video introduction to Steve and family? Or when did you find them? I too watch every single video… the earlier ones were portrait and happily they changed to landscape mode so viewing is much easier.
Wishing both of you a great 40th Anniversary!! A great feat in today's day and age!! May you have Many more full of great Blessings of Joy, Prosperity, Good Health, and of course, the most important ingredient of all, LOVE!! Love from your friend the Retired Paramedic, a S&R Dog and Handler Team Trainer and Horse Trainer in Ontario, Canada, Jenn 💖 💖🇨🇦🇬🇧
Another lovely video, oh what a beautiful mare, I love the picture with Tanya, such a soft look of connection & a very happy horse. Congratulations on your anniversary, may you have many more happy years ahead 🙏☯️🌹
Happy 40th Anniversary Steve and Tanya. So wonderful to see the beautiful, fulfilled and happy marriage you have both achieved. Thanks for another fascinating video on how your patience and skilled horsemanship works wonders for the horse.
Great video & result for you all. Beautiful horse. Happy Anniversary & best wishes for the future both personal & professional. A pleasure to watch. Thank you 💫
Excellent video. I have a mare that has lots of opinions about loading. I worked with a trainer and know what to do but when I'm in a hurry I forget to stay calm. This was a good review for me to watch.
I love Tanya’s laugh. And that beautiful horse stretched herself out as much as she possibly could to keep her back feet on terra firma to comply but preserve herself from dying in that scary box monster. Another horse-human relationship secured for the better of both :)
Wasn't the trailer but the scary ramp she was refusing to walk on.
What a labor of love. They say find a job you love and you'll never work another day in your life. 40 years of adventures together is amazing.💜

There’s something about these loading videos …there’s a sigh of relief when the horse finally goes in.
i liked how she jumped up with the two front legs on the ramp..can't stopp 😂 laughing..
Love the horse so confident of herself ❤
Loved to see the horse regain her confidence
