Muy buen trabajo de mis dos hijas, aunque solo se vea una, su hermana trabaja en la traducción para los subtítulos!! Por cierto que la gatera era para que los ratones no se comieran el grano según contaba la abuela!!
Hello...some corrections/questions...Those rafters do not appear to be the type they imported Cannada but rather a native pine species to the Iberian peninsula...The "import wood" that was brought to Spain was always in a condition called a "cant' or was a full dimension timber...never logs like this...Dendrological dating of the timber/logs (an expensive procedure) would tell you more about origin and age... As for the foam, all I can say is "good luck"...I hope it did not cost too much...and I hope it will last without causing more damage. Foams like this are illegal in some areas now because of the "trapped moisture they can lead to over time. And, regrettably, by the time a hidden leak or interstitial decay is noted, it is too late to save the roof structure. I was hoping for some more questions about this as I would have recommended (because you are on a budget, a 15-year guarantee tarping that several companies sell. At a minimum, when we have to do a "rapid saving" of a roof we use a tarp to isolate any plastic sealants like were put directly on your tiles... I'm hopeful that the roofers did a really good job and that you got a guarantee with their work. I would have it inspected by a different company in about three years and then every five years to make sure crakes do not form... Thank you again for sharing the progress of the home repairs...
Hello! When we talk about the Canadian wood we’re referring just to the big structural beams that cross the room, not the regular beams. If you look closely, you can see they are square instead of round. As for the foam, the company told us we’ll have to repaint it every three years to maintain and seal it. This video was recorded over a year ago so we didn’t have any other opinions or people to ask for help. Thank you so much for your comments! ✨
@@myspanishhome Thank you for the reply...I look forward to seeing more...The timbers that I have seen in Spain thus far (both "canted" or "live edge") have all been locally sourced, but I guess we will never know for sure unless yours got tested to confirm what you have been told about them being "imported"...It is very enjoyable to read your Spanish to English translation of he architecture as you learn about it...Blessings, j
I found your channel while reading comments from 2nd Empire Strikes Back. I love that you are bringing you Grandparents home back to life. Also the music and your voice are very soothing and relaxing. I look forward to this journey with you. Much luck from Alabama, USA❤
Sorry for all the setbacks you're having..maybe when you can financially, you could repaint the roof , but as long as it's sealed is the important part! I'd suggest spraying the moldy areas with a diluted bleach solution to try and kill it. Good efforts! Hang in there, little by little it'll come around.
Thank you so much! Yes, we’ve been thinking about repainting the roof in the future and maybe take the opportunity to paint the exterior walls as they also need it 😅
Me gusta mucho la historia de la renovación de la casa de tus abuelos. Tengo una sugerencia: la descripción es muy detallada pero un tanto monótona. A vexes parece un monólogo.
Ese tejado es una maravilla
Sii!

hey, can I ask how much did the roof reparations cost?
Promo`SM 🤭
☺️
First, you have to throw away all the junk and old things that have less potential to be used again.
Yes! Like Mary Kondo would say, only keep what makes you happy 😊
