Comedic heavy metal band from Italy. Originally just called NanowaR as a play on the band Manowar. Another Italian band originally called Rhapsody had to change their name , for legal reasons. They changed to Rhapsody of Fire. NanowaR changed to NanowaR of Steel to poke fun at them. Highly recommend their song Valhalleluja. Others to check out are Norwegian Reggaeton, Uranus, And then I Noticed She Was A Gargoyle, Armpits of Immortals, and Winterstorm in the Night.
Thank you, I wanted to mention the same thing you did it before me :) It also explain why in the video they wrote "Of steel" with Paint to explain they added after, in reference of Rhapsody and their guest Fabio Lione. They also mention Luca Turilli, the other main member of Rhapsody, after the "Barbie papa" part, that is cute :)
Saw them live a few weeks ago, a very low-budget show and utterly joyous. They parted the audience for a "wall of death", but said they'd make it a "wall of love" instead because they hated clearing up the blood and broken teeth (warnings were given about not touching certain body parts without permission). I got to hug a stranger in a Judas Priest jacket. My top two faves from them are _Valhallelujah_ and _Pasadena_ _1994_ (ft. Joakim Broden), hope you get to both of them!
Would love to see more Nanowar of Steel reactions! If I may, let me suggest the songs Valhalleluja, Norwegian Reggaeton, And Then I Noticed That She Was a Gargoyle, Uranus, Pasadena 1994, and Vegan Velociraptor :)
NoS have been around for 20 years, the rabbit hole is huge. :D Have fun! You might watch the newest video they did with Sabaton singer Joakim Broden for the song "Pasadena 1994". :D Also Norwegian Reggaeton, Valhalleluja and Disco Metal are really funny. But so is all their stuff. :D
Amazing reaction. Fabio Lione (now with Angra) is the former singer of italian band Rhapsody of fire. To get some musical reference of this song please listen to Rhapsody "knightrider of doom" or "emerald sword". Great power symphonic metal from Italy. Continue with Nanowar: Uranus, and then I notice she was a gargoyle.. ciao
glad you liked them but be fooled even if they're funny they are amazing musicians as well and yes, this is not heavy at all next month i'll recommend some very heavy stuff,be prepared.😇
This song and video is so explosive, because Barbie is the true XXX-bomb! Plus, the amount of CHEESE in this song was second to none! \m/ But the best part is, of course the straight face (well, almost straight face, as in Ken face...) full-out parody of the Epic Fantasy "Hollywood" Power metal, and RHAPSODY (OF FIRE) more directly. That was closer to the original thing than RHAPSODY themselves have been for a decade! Not to knock on RHAPSODY, who are obviously equipped with some outstanding sense of humor, as demonstrated by their star-singer Fabio Lione guesting on the song that would dare him with lyrics "Yes, I'm a Barbie!" Props to the guy! :))) To branch out, I would strongly recommend that you check out some outstanding music played by RHAPSODY (OR FIRE), or its spawn, LUCA TURILLI'S RHAPSODY. I would start with the old favorite "Emerald Sword", just to see where the inspiration for this has been flowing... Then continue with "Dawn of Victory" - a hit from their eponymous 3rd album around the turn of the century, which may still be the best of its style! Or try the orchestral masterpiece "The Magic of a Wizard's Dream", featuring the inimitable Christopher Lee (yes, THE man - who was by the way a sonorous bass, as great in singing as in delivering his authoritative movie lines). Or go for the Epic factor up to 11, with, e. g., "Gargoyles, the Angels of Darkness", or "The Wizard's Last Rhymes". Of LUCA TURILLI'S RHAPSODY, I have seen "Prometheus" often reacted to, and it is a great starting point - you will find this kind of Metal can be not only cheesy and gimmicky, but serious and heartfelt... the constant factor, though is - you will go humming it for days!
Amazing band! The first time I listened to this song I couldn’t stop laughing! 😂😂😂😂 And they are great musicians too! I can’t wait to see more reaction of their songs…
turilli was the lead guitarist/composer of rhapsody. the singer is fabio lione. now rhapsody of fire still exist, but they split in 2 bands: rhapsody of fire and turilli-lione rhapsody.
This song is even better when you are familiar with Rhapsody's catalogue.
just listening to emerald sword gets you a long way.
'Unholy Warcraft' absolutely sent me the first time I listened. And all subsequent times too.

by the way Fabio Lione, who sang inthis song, is the former singer of Rhapsody of Fire

If you watch it again and focus on the "horn", you will understand why they didn't use the name "unicorn" 😉
Great reaction BTW!
It is truly a horny beast! :D

The 'emmenthal' bit is a poke at the audience call and response from Emerald Sword live performances. So many deep jokes here, I love it.
You Entered the rabbit's hole alright and the rabbit is not amused, 🤣
ah, finally some Nanowar of Steel ^^ awesome live!
Great song and i loved the way you had a lot fun with it...

The melody and also Lyrics are "similar" to Rhapsody of Fire. Also Luca Turilli is as Guestsinger in the Video
turilli was the lead guitarist/composer of rhapsody.
the singer is fabio lione.
now rhapsody of fire still exist, but they split in 2 bands:
rhapsody of fire
and turilli-lione rhapsody.
@@md6119 thanks for the correction. I always mix Turilli and Lione 😅

Some other good NOS songs are Tooth Fairy,Heavy Metal Kibbles,Giorgio Mastrota,Hail to Liechtenstein,Feudalesimo e Libertà,Bestie di Seitan etc. etc.
Say what you want about their lyrics, but they shred
