He sorta knows what he's talking about Honda civic Toyota Corolla Mazda 3 only good ones the rest are money pits the other 2 Toyota's no one's really buying them so not enough information on them
Nice ones. The Golf and the Honda seem to be good choices but, speaking for Europe, they're still quite overpriced. For a 4/5 years old Honda, depending on the mileage, they are still asking between 20 and 25k, pretty much the same for the Golf.
Yes it's hard to find Good used Cars under $10.000 especially anything after 2017, But >now he didn't mention low mileage Cars with Clear Titles, Just to be Fair.
Thank you for uploading this all I want is cheap, honest transportation right now. I had a Kia soul with the infamous 2.0 L. it just barely made it to 200,000 miles and the engine blew up on me without warning. my 2007 Subaru Forester, which I keep for a back up car has surpassed that mileage and is still going strong.
Great Review, Mark ! Yeah, The Volkswagen Golf Is Their Most Popular Car Here In The States, And Drifters Luv This Car. Sister No.3 Just Purchase A 2021 Mazda CX-5, She & I Luv It, And The Upgraded Bose System Is Amazing !! 😉👌💯
hello from the Republic of Ireland. I'm not a mechanic but I belive you give sold advice...I'd take a chance on the Scooby (Subaru) out of your list.....keep doing the great work.
Some great choices Mark....especially the Golf, GR86 and the Mazda3. You explain everything beautifully. Didn't realize the Toyota was so noisy. Always loved the look of the CHR.
Hey M, but I min since I've been able to comment, but watching just about every post. Great content and takeaways as always!! Best to you and the fam as always and we'll see you on the next one✌️💚
I like your video. I taught myself how to drive a 4 speed manual transmission on a 1966 Corvette Sting Ray, Muncie M21 Close Ratio Transmission when I was 15 years old growing up in Stamford, CT in 1980. I do not agree with your comment about why would you want an Automatic Transmission on any vehicle, like that you said on the Toyota GR86. I can drive a Manual transmission. But what happens as you age & get older or you are traveling with another person, whom can not drive a manual transmission,. Suppose you need them to drive the vehicle while you are in the car, because you are not able to drive the Vehicle due to health issues? Now any one can drive an Automatic Transmission built vehicle. I am a former owner & restorer of old Corvette's from the Corvette's Model Years of the 1963-1967 ( Sting Ray) and 1969- 1975 (Stingray) model years. Presently I am a Judge with the NCRS= National Corvette Restorers Society. (Boynton Beach, FL. (USA).
I agree with this comment. The manual is overhyped and lots of People missshift and damage their engines. Only buy reliable conventional (non CVT ) auto transmissions and you won't have problems. I can relate a little because I injured my right elbow and couldn't move my right arm lol not because I'm old 😊👍
I'll pass on the Volkswagen, shop labor rates are high & replacement parts are extremely expensive , not to mention it seems your always waiting for parts to come in!! No thanks 🤔
I was able to suffer passed the VW, but the Mini was it for me. A good used car is not about the looks and design. Both the VW and Mini will cost plenty to keep running as used cars. At least the Nissans are cheap enough to be disposable when the grits hit the fan with them. Might as well include Hyundai and Kia in too. At least they self destruct.
@@markkrispin6944I don't know where you have asked for a used battery, but in Norway a used M3 costs 4300 euro. I think battery warranties in Europe is eight years and 160,000 km/100,000 miles.
A Mazda 2 is sub compact car with a 1.5 L engine and Mazda 3 is a bigger version with 2.5 L engine. Mazda doesn't sell the 2 here anymore but they are popular in Europe and Asian and the Toyota Yaris was a rebadged Mazda 2.

Many people are happy with the 1.5 but there have been significant issues and and I would go with a different engine setup. Most other Civics are work horse and have always been
@ECPP thanks buddy tha Mazda 3 iz getting better just had a few Hondas that did me right used + that timing chain i prefer over belts i switched a v6 for a 4 just because i was nervous about the beli lol thanks again it meant a lot you/ your wife whomever responded thanks bro...
Sounds like someone got a flogging for speaking the truth about trash cars and now is plugging them. VW??? NAH!!! I'll take the "zero" Nissan?? Really? Crap 12:00 about time we recommend something useful and quality!
Great list of Cars, And yes He knows what he's talking about Folks 🇺🇸👍.
Thank you
yes but he’s obviously Canadian 🇨🇦
He sorta knows what he's talking about Honda civic Toyota Corolla Mazda 3 only good ones the rest are money pits the other 2 Toyota's no one's really buying them so not enough information on them
I'll keep my 17 Avalon
How about making a list of reliable and economical cheap sedans with good engines and transmissions

You are right in many markets but I also scoped some classifieds and found some decent prices in a few cases
Yes it's hard to find Good used Cars under $10.000 especially anything after 2017, But >now he didn't mention low mileage Cars with Clear Titles, Just to be Fair.
Agree on the MAZDA! Great reliability and price! Great diction and delivery in your videos!
Thanks so much
Mazda often overlooked- cx-5 and 9 are made in Japan, 6 sedan also. 3 used to be.
Absolutely love the Mazda recommendations but I'm always pensive of the rust proofing, especially if you're living in the north east
Which year model for cx3 you guys recommend?
Mazda famous for the big rust problem

Well said Mark on CHR. 5 yrs I have had one and not a problem. Great car handles well.
Thanks Moe, indeed great little cars

Thanks Don, yes some of these cars are cost effective but also many are fun to drive
i thought VW’s were cars to avoid.
You're correct.

A bit surprised about the Mini. The attraction was the retro, but the history of unreliability. But, it's a BMW product so, no big shock.
Simple is cost effective. My 2015 Nissan Note had been faultless.
There's so much good info in this video, where was this channel all my life?
Thanks for watching. I am always open for more subscribers. It’s free. Have a great weekend
Great reporting!
Thank you 👍

Until the transmission fails! I wouldn't go near a cvt. 😢
Do your research for the reliable cars, unless you prefer to overgeneralize.
Mazda 3 AWD i recommend with conventional auto Trans.
Thanks
Year model?
That Nissan won't last as long as my Focus

Nice
I just bought a 2020 Civic SI myself and I have to say I’m very satisfied.
Wife here you did not say what year on Mazda 3? Also Which one do not need turbo ha. Also heard paint chip issues with the Mazda? Thank you .
Love the video’s. Would love to see if it’s possible to do a video for tall drivers. On what’s your opinion on the best vehicle’s (new/used).
I like the Golf R, the problem is there are some dealer markups.
There have been especially new but the used ones can be a good deal on the private market
I love the Civic especially the Si I want the manual transmission also
yeah good list, the C-HR in EU we have also the 170 hp engi
Do you ever get kicked off the lots?
Love the videos, keep ‘em coming 👍🏼
Thank you so much
@@ECPPcx3 year model?
Did you mention $20,000US to replace a Tesla battery pack. Tbh, I don't know about the warranty.
That definitely is a thing but is likely OK for 10 years
@@ECPPThat $20,000 is the price of a USED BATTERY PACK. Try $30,000 + for a NEW BATTERY. No thank you. I will keep my Toyota Corolla Hybrid LE.😊

Never ever buy a Nissan
My air conditioning went out and they couldn't figure out what was wrong! It was awful. Versa 2012
That 2L in the VW is a 150k mile engine. Head gaskets are a big problem.
Hugh strung and fun to drive tbiugh
CVT: Constantly Vexing Transmission
Yes yes yes
what's the difference between mazda 2 and mazda 3

1 😂
cars are way too expensive now
A literal ripoff

Id rather get a cheap car and be able to drive then live in the city where housing is twice as much and not be able to go on a vacation
I drive 40 miles to work. I’ll take the car.
Best comment ever in car video ❤😊
Lol
This isn’t practical buddy, stop it 😂
A mark seriously, so the touring iz not good huh ?
Was looking at one ?

Honda hrv. The best planing you ever saw
Thanks
Bit of a misleading thumbnail, c’mon now 😂
Stay away from low profile tyres!
Thanks
Bruh a used golf R with under 100k miles is 30k
Really? A good used car for $10k where? Quality in good condition?
Haha, that’s fair but I even pulled up classifieds and found some cars in that price range
I was with you until you mentioned the Mini. They are crap and very expensive for repairs. (Basically a BMW)
Hi in Mini Cooper the best year to buy that you recomended.. Thanks.
No problem 👍
Stay away from MINI trust my words they are JUNK!
Why didn 't you sau something about prices?
I like the Mazda, they used to make great trucks
Life’s too expensive to buy anything but a clapped out boring car.
(sputter and slowly drive away)
Haha, nice
VW reliable?
Nope, not compared to most others brands. Not the worst though.
Why are rodents attracted to the wires? You scared the heck out of me🎉🎉🎉
They love eating it as it is plant or food based wiring
But life is too short for buzzers! I rather keep my GLC Benz .
Never buy a Nissan with CVT
Agreed, it’s not a nice drive nor is it trouble free
I thought Corollas were the best?!
They are.
Did he say BMW and Reliability in the same sentence? Jesus
haha, ouch
Some of these picks are a joke!
Cvt a no sell.
Same
BMW reliable. This guy really does not know what he is talking about
The corolla 2.0 had cracked engine Blocks. And since when a modern German car is reliable? Lol
Well….
Very sad list. 😢😢😢
Don't believe JD Powers !

Reliable little run about
I don't want a VW or Nissan except for the Nissan trucks
