It would have been nice that the dancer had been shown much more. The farruca is a DANCE, you know?
German Suarez yeah, but this is a music-video. And it's made to show us how fluently the song is performed by him. In a way, I'm more interested in the guitar techniques he uses, so perhaps it's best that they used a little bit of this and a little bit of that :)
I agree with you. It is only that I enjoy watching farruca so much. Good dancers, of course.
Como todo el flamenco, la farruca es cante, toque y baile. No es sólo -ni principalmente- baile, ni muchísimo menos! Lo que ocurre es que el baile puede ser mejor disfrutado por los menos aficionados o por quienes no hablan español y no entienden las preciosas coplas (poesías populares cortas) que conforman las letras.
El flamenco es un tesoro que mana de España para el disfrute de toda la humanidad. Gracias por apreciarlo y amarlo sin ser de aquí!

You should film a dancer at full height, not just body parts
Everything is very good except for the fact that you cannot really see/follow the dancer. Video direction is terrible!
You don't have to see it, you have to feel it with your gut.
C'est bien de casser les codes, car jusqu'à récemment la Farruca était une danse d'hommes. Jamais une femme n'aurait pu la danser et encore moins chanter en même temps. De même on voit des guitaristes chanteurs dans le flamenco, impensable avant. La société évolue et cela est bien, tant qu'on reste dans l'esprit.
Bueno...esto ya lleva un tiempo. Mira los vídeos de Manuela Carrasco, Sara Baras...Y yo las he oído cantadas por mujeres desde antiguo, porque le dan esa dulzura del norte de España que necesita la farruca, una especie de morriña. El flamenco siempre resulta innovador, como todo lo clásico. Cuanto más antiguo y ancestral, más innovador.
