Makes sense, darker music like this can strengthen your chi and focus as destructive energy wells up inside just so you can unleash it on your enemy. Also for me it does the same plus it fuels my darker emotions which enhance combat, in particular, psychotic happy. There are several negative emotions one can use to enhance their strength in martial arts as emotion affects the energies that flow within us.

Requiem for a Tower is the name of a version of Lux Aeterna which was made initially for trailers for The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers. Because it's so similar (and maybe because Lux Aeterna is harder to remember?) everyone calls either tracks Requiem for a Dream. Musically Lux Aeterna is longer and more orchestral I'd say, while Requiem for a Tower is shorter and more focused on the epic parts. (in case you were wondering)
RFAT is SO dark. There's a 6 min version way better than the rest in my opinion. And I must say the ones with an electric guitar thrown in were a bit of a disappointment, hardly being worth checking out.

I've just finished writing a novel where RFAT was needed for the last paragraph. My MC needed to hear the sound of orcs on the march, to face him in battle. This version failed there.

Men forced to travel far to feed to their family, men die in the battlefield their hardship and name will be forgotten all for the selfish greed of our king. Her body shifts to her left barely missing the blade aiming her way, she trikes slicing her enemy with her sword. She sobbed and screamed as her men and enemy dropped around her. She screamed at God, pleading him to stop a war once and for all. Anger consumed her, the king stood on the far hill behind her. She could sense his smirk of satisfaction, she turned back to her men and her enemy. The sky lit with the flashing lights from the thunder as everything went in slow motion. Ran as fast as could charging at her king, she knew this will the moment she’ll perish but she won't die in vain. She smiled at the King then strikes.
