@@erinmccutcheon3751 that's possible but even if he did, given that he was highly-ranked and well-liked and respected in the police (who were probably unaware of his home life as he was never arrested or charged while in service) and the police are a tight-knit community by nature, it's extremely unlikely he would have gone completely off the radar with them, someone within his ranks would know where he was if he was still alive... As for Kirsty, it serves her right; what happened to her before she met Tyrone doesn't give her a free pass. It's not as if she didn't have a chance to make good - her mum tried to appeal to her while she was still alive, she injured Fiz in the factory, she treated Tyrone like a punch bag, she assaulted Julie and verbally abused Sally, both of who always stuck by her - and in an early scene she told Tyrone her insecurity was because had been cheated on by her ex (who we never met onscreen) - what price her ex actually left her for someone else because she was abusive to him too, but he had a luckier break than Tyrone because there was no baby? Kirsty bought that on herself if that's how she ended her days - but the reality is, if she was found by a neighbour who had reason enough to fear something had happened to her that they gained entry to her flat in the first place, then there's a good chance she just started afresh and wasn't alone at all
Can you imagine if an Ex Inmate came to The Street and told Tyrone about Kirsty. She went for counselling and admitted she had "Anger Issues" about her Family. Maybe she was taunted and bullied for being Interracial. Maybe she felt like an outsider, and I'm sure she hated knowing that Ruby was calling another Woman "Mommy" and not her.
Her father was physically abusive to her and her mother. She picked up on his behaviour,had a lot of uncontrollable rage and continued the pattern of abuse onto others. It doesn't excuse her behaviour in the slightest. If her childhood was traumatic and had a negative effect on her she should've sought formative therapy. She gave Ruby up as she knew she'd most likely become abusive to her as well. So I dont really care that Fiz took her place she isnt giving Ruby bruises like Kirsty most likely would've
