Something to be aware of is that the stock of CPU are usually the ones that don't really meet the QC standards to be sold as retail level CPU. That being said they're perfectly functional and I'm sure no one would really notice unless they really tried to look for the difference in performance or were trying to over clock it and hoping for a golden CPU or whatever the term is.
I wondered if there was a difference between mobile CPU and Computer ones cause Ik Qualcomm releases their lower end CPU and Mid end CPUs as screw ups of the higher end ones due to manufacturing error

Fellow south African here and no, the shipping is pretty cheap...most sellers do free shipping and some do 100-200-300 Rand shipping. There are a few items that cost like half the price of the item for shipping but just ignore those, there's normally multiple sellers for one item anyway. AliExpress has also been quite good for me with refunds, never had a problem. Shipping takes like 1 month. As long as you buy items that have reviews and enough items sold, you'll get what you ordered 99% of the time.
Ali express lists the ryzen 5 5600 for about $50 lower than what youd pay at a reatiler, however none of the listings I can find include a fan. That $50 difference quickly dissapears if you have to buy a $45 fan. I live in austalia btw

On Cyberpunk 77 for example i got 57C temp on CPU, and 68C on GPU. The money i saved for ordering from Aliexpress i spent on nvme ssd and quality fans and a case

Ultra budget PC's are quite attainable too at least where i live. Old E5 26xx CPU's are between £5-20 and mobos are around £30-60... E5 2697 v3 only slightly underperforms an i3 12100f. A £80 CPU. Obviously do your research and be careful

In Russian YT segment there are some popular PC builders who try to spend less money for more fps. And the problem is, the builds are mostly based on Intel Xeon CPUs. As for RAM, GPU, SSD and PSU, they are bought from some random ass companies. Ofc it's cheaper. The thing is, it probably won't last forever. It will just burn. With rare exceptions, but it's not worth the risk The moral of the story: At least use the components from famous manufacturers, and you'll be happy.

Well of course, there have been so many cases of fakes sold through them, and having to wait for weeks or months just to find out whether you got the real deal, some dumbed down version with a label change, or a Chinese knock off that requires chinese hacked drivers to even function is not worth the money saved.

did you test them though? the seller can (relatively) easily just swap out the IHS for something cheap and keep the good cpu or even sell it for a bigger profit
i do highly agree with zach, i've bought multiple cpus for pc builds and i've had no problems whatsoever with those computers, don't distrust a marketplace because 1 seller might be a scammer
Buying used CPU’s like this is perfectly fine assuming the seller seems legit(uses a platform with a good return policy) . Probably the safest thing you can buy used I feel like. I’d get a used cpu b4 I get used ram
