      I'm sorry to hear that. Yes it should have come with the u bolts, nuts and washers. There should have been a warning sticker to put on the antenna and a small manual. Though the manual is pretty much useless. The two lock washers for the antenna were garbage. I went to the local hardware store and bought stainless steel replacements. I would get in touch with whomever you purchased it from and let them know of your situation. Some advise, if you put a coat of clear or non metallic paint on the antenna it will keep the fiberglass from fraying.

      Damn I forgot about the varnish. Nothing came with the imax no sticker no bolts nothing. The antenna is up now I will varnish it another time. I bought it from Amazon and told them and they just gave me some run around. I didn't want to send it back I wanted it in the air. I drilled a couple holes bigger and stuck it up.

      I made the mistake years ago with an antron a99. It had been up for 7 years and I tried to take it down without gloves. That wasn't one of the smarter things i've done. My imax sports a couple coats of krylon flat o.d. green. The neighbors approve and no more splinters. So far the antenna has been an excellent performer. 73

      Mine came with slits on both fiberglass masts. And no instructions as well.

    Why didn you use the lock washers?

    • @jmaterne1
      @jmaterne1 2 года назад +2

      Because some people have found that with the lock washers installed, there aren’t enough threads down into the next piece and they tend to snap off in very high winds. Besides, if you snug them up, they won’t back off.

    Je voudrais savoir la longueur du dernier brin de l’antenne svp ? Le plus mince au bout de l’antenne... 73 👋

      @romansilentempire8309 Nope it's a great antenna, only too bad they cant withstand strong winds.
