Mount Vernon Trail (18 miles)

The trail winds along side the beautiful Potomac River giving you views of the Washington DC monuments and skyline. It takes you through parks, forested areas, wet-lands, neighborhoods, and marinas. It is mostly paved but some sections are boardwalk.
While the Mount Vernon Trail also parallels the George Washington National Parkway, it keeps trail users a safe distance from cars.

Glad you recovered and back riding again. I injured myself and I won't be riding for awhile. It's nice to watch your videos and plan for future rides. I watched your video on the Virginia Creeper Trail and it inspired me to make the journey. It was the best ride I've ever had. Thanks for the videos and the inspiration!
