Noticed your rear view mirrors did not fold in with locking the car, was that disabled? I tried this on my 2020 xc40 without success

Does this work on all new Volvos?

i have had my xc 40 B5 for one year. App no longer works to remote start. Car shows "offline" over 75% of the time now. Tried calling and texting. none of their suggestions work. Told me to take it to the dealer. I am about ready to turn this lease in because of this feature and everyone from Volvo seems clueless on how to fix it. Sick of searching the internet for solutions. My Suburu started 100% of the time from the app. This 3 clicks of factory key fob does not work to remote start. I am guessing this is an add on to buy???

How do you enable this feature? I have a 19 XC40 Momentum with every package except vision. I can only remote start from the My Volvo app.

There is an extra small module that gets connected which provides the additional functions

That’s wild. I accidentally enabled this feature just fiddling with the remote in my hand. I called the dealership and they said that it wasn’t possible but if they have had stranger things happen. Thank you for this video!

That’s what I have too and it’s $200 a year for the subscription. I’d love to have this feature!

Volvo doesn’t want you to know anything, they won’t tell you because they want you to purchase Volvo on call for $200 annually. I took my Volvo in to turn off the automatic brake assist because it was engaging due to objects on the side of the road or if you were to close to an object and it would scare the shit out of me. They said it could not be turned off . I figured out it’s listed as turn off collision assist on the screen console. I was specifically looking for turn off brake assist. Their service guy either lied or didn’t know what he was doing. It’s now turned off. Even when you read your manual it can be confusing because of the different models and options.

Its cool, but what is the point of starring the car before entering it ?

A remote start is very important for people who live in cold climates

@@biffybilliamson remote start with your Key just to get in few seconds later ? Starting the car from an app is more logical

@@mr-black-sheep doesn't the app cost money for the subscription? If I had the option on my key fob it would be much better. Plus when it's -40 celsius and I'm wearing gloves. The key fob is easier to use. Then if I pass my keys to my husband to warm up my car while I'm getting ready or busy doing something.. or he's borrowing the car for some reason. The key fob would be great. I just can't believe every other car comes with a remote start. But this fancy car doesn't.

Do not buy this car! Not only are the dealerships scam artists (been through two before purchasing. My bad, after dealer #1 attempt at "bait and switch", should've went to BMW.) At 50 miles- oil leak. Oil housing cracked. At 100 mi- intermittent rattle in door. (Sounds like car was dropped off car carrier!)At 8k mi- head rests make a quick noise as if being lowered, though nothing is touched. Seat heating goes on whenever. Of course, nothing can be fixed unless these intermittent things happen in front of a mechanic. LOUD ENGINE, like it is struggling. This is nothing more than an overpriced lawn ornament. Unfortunately, spent my life savings on it due to being the safest car on the road for the price. 4 years old with 10,500 miles. Oh, and under the front plate there was a deep gauge, probable when "button"/screws were installed. Tool slipped. My state doesn't need front plates. It was "shipped in" from MD. Dealer wouldn't fix it... until the oil leak. I guess to calm me down. The paint didn't match. (We're at less than 100 mi at this point) Oh, and FINALLY got an owners manual at that time too. NOT when I repeatedly begged for one. I wanted to sell it immediately... problem.... dealership took their sweet time getting my title. THREE MONTHS. It sat in a pile on a desk. Neighbor got a new car out of state and had his title in 2 weeks. My dealership said "slow mail", finally admitting that it sat in a pile.... even though I call every 2-3 weeks begging for it. THIS COMPANY IS HORRIFIC and UNSCRUPULOUS to deal with. BUYER BEWARE. Yes, I still have the car. The depreciation to sell it and buy new was out of my price range. I used my life savings for this OVERPRICED LAWN ORNAMENT.
