Shaaba is a fucking BADASS for sticking by you when it ostracized her from her family and made your whole household awkward. What a great, strong woman you've got. :)
HOLY SHIT I LOVE YOU GUYS AND WHEN SHAABA SAID SHE HAD A 14 YEAR OLD SISTER NAMED SHAZIA I WAS LIKE 'OH MY GIDDY AUNT I AM FRIENDS WITH A GIRL NAMED SHAZIA' SO I LOOK ON FACEBOOK AND LO AND BEHOLD I KNOW SHAABA'S SISTER
You're both so mature for only being 21 it's refreshing :) (i'm 21 as well I can relate I suppose lol) but yeah it's really nice to hear things are looking up for you two
Thank God for the youth of our society. It is only in them that we can find openness, willingness to love, and the desire to grow as a society. Jammie and Shaaba, you both are such good people and your love for each other is so obvious. Now to learn that Jammie is applying to work on a PhD. is fantastic. I started following you from the beginning and have always told you how special you are; I am SO HAPPY for you both and you give me so much hope for the positive energy in the universe to conquer any and all obstacles. Thank you so much for what you have accomplished and shown us about life.........Ray
I've been watching your videos for a while but I recently found this linked on the I Am Not Haraam blog, I'm a Muslim trans guy so it's really cool to see they finally accepted you :)
Jamie hey came here through buzzfeed's video! You gotta subscriber. First of all you look dope as hell and i love how you're so in love with your gf. :) Congrats on getting acceptance in shaaba's parent's life. :)
I loved this video. Acceptance by family is so so important. Acceptance isn't always easy or instantaneous for some people. A child's transition can really challenge a parent's view of the world and force them to adjust the hopes and dreams they had for their child. That sometimes takes time. But usually love triumphs eventually. My family has been brilliant about my transition except for one of my brothers who hasn't spoken to me for two years. But I won't give up hope that one day he will understand and find acceptance.
I am SO happy for you both. You 2 are so cute and inspiring. Keep being the beautiful people you are. That is what makes the world go around. So happy for the breakthrough. May this lead to much more!
This makes me sooo happy!! I could really relate to when she was saying she wasn't allowed to go to her parents' house because of the person shes with. I was living with my mom when i came out to her, she wasnt totally accepting at first, but now shes amazing with all of her support. I came out to dad over the phone when I was 15 or 16(can't remember which age) and he told me I wasn't allowed to go to his home anymore because he didn't want me to "rub off on my siblings". Hes extremely religous & He sees me as a lesbian because i have a girlfriend, but i identify as ftm. It sucks, I havent seen them in 4 1/2 years, I'm missing them grow up, BUT this gives me hope that maybe one day he'll come around :') ❤ Thanks for this -Jesse 😊
I've been in the same situation when I couldn't believe that my family would ever approve my marriage. Long story short-I was born in a muslim family and my husband was born in a jewish family. We ourselves don't follow any religions and all that stuff and we love each other. Now, my family loves my husband just like I wound never dream for. At the beginning it takes a lot of effort to prove ppl that you have a right to be with a person you love regardless their gender, religion, nationality. Good job guys! What matters is love, everything else is bs
Congratulations on the breakthrough with your future in-laws. I can't even imagine how difficult the process of establishing your places in the family has been. It seems like quite a nightmare. Again, congratulations.
So glad to see you guys together and still going strong despite the hurdles as far as family opinions towards your relationship. Glad Shaaba's family have opened up to your relationship and that positive outcomes have emerged. Wishing you both all the best always!
This is so wholesome and inspiring. My partner and I are currently going through a bit of a difficult time with being accepted, but seeing this was really inspiring and encouraging.
This video is a pretty big inspiration to me. My mum's pretty against my relationship with ftm bf, whom she just know as my gf. It's given me the strength to tell her and be straight (pun intended) with her over it. Hopefully she'll accept it one day too
I feel weird watching this, nothing negative at all I promise, proud of you and your journey and your girlfriend to for being there for you through out the whole process, I only feel weird as you look a bit like my younger brother, congrats on your happiness and I hope more good things come your way in the future ☺️
Hi Jammi, I hope things are going well! I just wanted to give you my best wishes and tell you that you're a very strong and special person! I've just recently subscribed and started watching your videos, it is very emotional to me although I am not experiencing anything close to that or anything related to being transgender. Best of luck!
Nope (no offence to Jamie!) Jamie and I only started being 'into each other' a few months after Jamie came out (: By the way, your username is amazing. All the best!
I'm a gay man and to be honest i find you really really attractive. And you voice its fantastic! It can make anyone fall in love with you. Congrats to you and your girlfriend! Chao!!!
just a random thought I had... I would have so much anxiety being friends with a trans person just because I misgender people a lot, but it's not really because I think they're the opposite gender, I just get words mixed up? I'm italian so we have female and male adjectives and sometimes I'd say for example "brava" instead of "bravo" to a guy, and viceversa. I do it all the fuckin time, like it's not something I think about. Sometimes I dont even realise I do it and they're like a bit weirded out and Im like what did I say ? Lol Oops sorry. I think it stems from not caring about gender, so whoever I'm talking to I dont particularly differentiate "oh thats a boy/girl im talking to", but honestly i dont have an excuse lol, I'm just clumsy with words. so I just think if I had a trans friend theyd probably hate me :')
Hey :) I just wanted to communicate with you to let you know you're not alone, though I don't have much advice. I often refer to even my dad or boyfriend as she by accident, simply because (same as you) I don't tend to ever think about gender! I personally do not care which pronoun people use for me, and I have a communications disability anyway. I have transgender friends, and they understand it's an accident and do not hate me for it. I just make sure that I think harder about the words im using when I am communicating with somebody who has a specific pronoun they prefer. If I get it wrong all I get is corrected. It's only offensive if it's deliberate and repeated, in my experience, and it has never gotten to that point for me. Just don't deliberately misgender people to be hurtful and mean, and don't be offended by being corrected. (if anybody wants to correct me on any of this feel free, I am not the ultimate knowledge on this (at all) I just wanted to offer an opinion so franka91 didn't think she would be hated for clumsiness)
I was so distracted by Shaaba's incredible hair.
Shaaba is a fucking BADASS for sticking by you when it ostracized her from her family and made your whole household awkward. What a great, strong woman you've got. :)
Oh my god this is so adorable to watch 8 YEARS later
You both look so young ❤
HOLY SHIT I LOVE YOU GUYS AND WHEN SHAABA SAID SHE HAD A 14 YEAR OLD SISTER NAMED SHAZIA I WAS LIKE 'OH MY GIDDY AUNT I AM FRIENDS WITH A GIRL NAMED SHAZIA' SO I LOOK ON FACEBOOK AND LO AND BEHOLD I KNOW SHAABA'S SISTER

Wow, that's incredible, I'm really happy for you guys, that's massive progress. Gives me hope that, with time, loved ones can always come around :)

Strange question but how tall are you?
OMcAdam99 I'm 6ft1
If only I could grow a couple of inches, then I'd be a decent height as a guy once I've transitioned.

Mayra M Mauritius
She’s Mauritian, but her ethnicity is most likely Indian.
