Forgot to mention one thing: the models for Half-life 2/Episode 1 and Episode 2 share the same name ('advisor.mdl'). So sometimes they can override one another depending on what you're doing.
Great video! There's two things I wish you had mentioned though. In (I think) the 2003 leak, there were a bunch of alternate textures for the sleeve and head with all sorts of different colors. On the advisor's head texture from Half-Life 2 and Episode 1, you can see Ted Backman's signature in the bottom right corner.
@@DaRealBruner I had no idea that his signature was on that texture sheet! That's very interesting I am unfamiliar with some details of the beta, so my apologies for not including it!
I'm into fictional linguistics (like constructed languages) so im interested in trying to make a language based off of the runes/symbols around their head.
I beleive that the Shu'ulathoi are just host bodies and that G-Man is a "vanilla" advisor that wants his people back. I think all the weird dimension tricks he pulls are half *actual* dimension tricks like the vortigaunts, and half him messing with your head
Why would Gman not show no care then since he clearly showed no care when alyx killed a combine advisor of course this was to change the timeline However combine advisors are known to work together so I doubt gman is an advisor

Nooo! my advisor
A host body- you must be joking, I can't possibly... oh alright dammit, if that's what it takes. Just, hurry he's right behind me!
Oh shit!
Impressive details! Can't wait to see Combine Elite breakdow.

Fascinating.
Do you know what it says yet?
How about now?

Why would the combine capture him if he was an advisor? That doesn't make sense.
@@caitlinalcock6964Yes but some correction: combine didnt just captured him, he let them capture him

@@teamskulltron25 Bro. Gman is against combine. He is ENEMY of combine. He let alyx kill advisor cuz he needed this advisor to be killed.
They also appear to have a similar role like gman in hl2 but in episode 1 i assume (when they appear twice on screens) they are tracking you maybe.
Good video! I like your research.
I wonder what the combine bosses looks like
I like to think that the advisors are the combine emperor's advisors
this is cool
Noice
mouf.
i will not stand for this its shu'ulathoi, not shu'ulathoi 🙄
?
Shut you don't even know what you're saying
Clearly it's shu'ulathoi and not shu'ulathoi and not shu'ulathoi! Galunga, man!
