      it doesn’t look that bad for racing but it needs some improvements (2nd layer of kerbs maybe in the corners)

      Hah. To be honest I think Igora is pretty short for an F1 track, it's like half the length of Sochi and narrower too. Lovely place though, nice to drive in a sportscar but F1 we'll have to wait and see.

      Way to skinny for f1 cars

      It says on the F1 website that it is “under construction” so perhaps they’re widening the track?

      @@will4807 No construction at the moment, lots of driving events there. Maybe in winter.

    i've fallen in love with your videos. Binged watch them all while i was looking on videos for an x51 swap on my 981. I actually wanted to ask how much it costed and how long was the whole project. I'm looking into making an x51 swap in the next year or two

    • @JCviggen1
      @JCviggen1  3 года назад +1

      I believe I gave Ehresmann in Germany my car for 2 weeks, the actual swap didn't take that long but then he drove it for a few days himself to make sure all was well and then went to get it tuned. The engine was 11K EUR I believe and then there's the work and tuning for which Ehresmann asked another 10K or so. I did recoup some costs by selling the 3.4L for 5K.

      @@JCviggen1 would you say it was worth the money considering the 718 GTS 4.0 exists now? I had two 981 GTSes before I got myself into a 991.1C4S but it just didn’t handle the way the 981s did. Found it a little boring for B road thrashing. Sold it and got myself a 981 S since I couldn’t justify spending 20k pounds on a GTS when it’s essentially the same car. My dealership is constantly urging me to consider a GTS 4.0 but I’ve been considering the X51 for a while. Are the Fabspeed headers necessary or can I just attempt the stock headers on the car? In terms of servicing, would you just take it to a specialist or has your dealer been able to help you out with it?

    • @JCviggen1
      @JCviggen1  3 года назад

      @@AquilHK Probably, I mean you have to do the math. What would you get back from selling the car and what would the GTS cost? Of course the new car will have a warranty and is simply newer, if the money isn't a huge object it's probably the better way to go. Assuming supply is not an issue, prices have gone a bit nuts in some places.

    What car are you in with pdk? Looks like 981 but thought no pdk on gt4, and still has interior. Sounds amazing. What exhaust mods you running? Would love to know

    • @JCviggen1
      @JCviggen1  3 года назад +2

      It's a 981 GTS with a 3.8L engine swap from a 991.1 GTS. Its basically a home built clubsport. Cargraphic race headers and M&M exhaust.

    F1 needs to race in longer circuits, it will look like kart racing (same goes for zandvoort, austria, canada)
