In this episode, we bring back my good friend Bruce Porter, one of the most knowledgeable individuals I know. We talk about where the "Promised Land" of the Book of Mormon is, the politics of the Book of Mormon, and the role of liberty. Packed with scripture, this episode is enlightening.

Bruce Porter is Soul Food! I was full after this spiritual feast. I know what he said is true and thank you Greg for providing a forum for civil discourse.

Tim Ballard, The Sound of Freedom guy, has written books on this "American Covenant." The Abraham Lincoln story is fantastic!

It's amazing how these same scriptures came to life for me after I started studying politics.

  • @kimberlyolsen9416

Bringing two of my favorites together, Greg and Bruce! Awesome!

I love listening to Bruce. Of course you too Greg.

Always go by what the scriptures and the Prophet Joseph say. They do not not say the promised land is anywhere but in this country. All of the wonderful evidence that has been found to support this truth is just icing on the cake.

  • @Chris27883

It's so good to hear somebody else finally say all this! We always here it doesn't matter where the Book of Mormon happened. It's beautiful to hear someone else tell us why that's false and then back it up with scripture. It may not be a point of doctrine that determines whether or not you're saved but it absolutely matters if you want to understand where God and His prophets are coming from.

FANTASTIC! I never thought of the concept of a fourth migration of the Gentiles and the early American colonists. Or of the land deeds. Interesting concept. Land of liberty, freedom, the Constitution, promises in the B of M ….yep yep. Great explanation on the relationship between them all👏👍

  • @brucelloyd7496

Thanks for interviewing one of the "good guys." There is absolutely no doubt that America is the promised land, a land choice above all other lands. I believe in American Exceptionalism, not because we're better than anyone else, but God blesses this land as we keep his commandments. It's good to see you drifting away from a neutral or Pro Mesoamerican model!

To maintain freedom we must have a trowel in one hand and a musket in the other, so we can build up the kingdom of God and to defend the faith 🙏

  • @kylegene7359

I certainly hope Midnight Mormons have the courage to invite Bruce on as well

Oh my Holy Cow!!! Now I understand a boatload of things!!! Thanks so much for this broadcast! I have always heard it would be up to the church to save the government when the constitution hangs by a thread. I have thought lately that it would be financially given the lastest allegations of the church having so much money!!! Which btw, I pay my tithing to the Lord not the “church”! But when Bro Porter said the church members have THE power by voting, a whole new aspect smacked me in the face! I’m guilty of being apathetic in my voting but No More! I’m gobsmacked❣️

I also love it when people talk about Christian Nationalism. The thing that came to mind is Abrahamic nationalism. God blessed this one man so that one day he could bless everyone else. Its really the most inclusive thing God can do is to have at least one land that is guaranteed to have Freedom if the people keep the Commandments.

Thanks for this great discussion of Liberty and the BofM's importance of our Liberty and our responsibilities. Knowing of our responsibilities is one of the reasons I joined the USAF in 1984, and why I ran, and won a seat on a Board of Education in 2006. As part of that Board of Education experience I represented that school district on a local technical college Board of Directors for not only the 4 year term, but another 8 years. I learned a lot of what is going on behind the scenes, and learned that many have ceded their responsibilities to the government, which has weakened their testimonies of Christ, and of the BofM. Very sad, in a lot of cases. Again, thanks for this great discussion!
