The Third Ninja Gaiden is the Best game adaptation of a ninja. Sorry Naruto, but you could learn a thing or two from them (but so could Ninja Gaiden) Really love Ryu's voice. The voice actor did a great job and matched his personality and appearance well. Strong and deadly like a Dragon, yet swift and gentle like a Falcon. Makes since that a Perigean Falcon is his spirit animal. Neither good nor evil, really captures the meaning and message of being a shinobi and the capabilities of human.
well the third shows a more human side to Ryu unlike previous two though lots of people complained that it was too straight forward and they said it didn't show any humanity but i think it did and it gives you more appreciation for the character of Ryu Hayabusa like you said deadly as a dragon yet swift and gentle like a falcon. his name literally translate to dragon falcon lol which is ironic in a way considering who we are talking about
I think the he has 3 spirit animals, his clan's falcon, the true inferno dragon from the 3rd game, and the flame phoenix from the 2nd game. But I mean like the guardian spirits you collect in Nioh, since both NG and Nioh were made by Team Ninja, and Muramasa appears in both games. It explains why the falcon is transparent or invisible sometimes, visible other times, and keeps following him around, it's Ryu's Saoirse.
I cannot believe i never played this as a kid. If i was playing it back then, i would've recked through the whole story of all three games no problem, without knowing how hard the game is
Sigma 2 may be better visually, but it's unfortunately ruined by its censorship, a lot of scenes lose the sense of brutality and feels very PG. Like when Muramasa slices a bunch of ninjas into pieces at 2:32:19, the Sigma 2 version is weak they just fall down like they've been stunned, but in the original you know they're dead after the anime style sword cut pause when they fall apart and blood flows out of the cuts.

I own both versions and have both PS3 and 360, not a fan of either consoles, I prefer my suped up PC. What I'm saying is common sense, shit like this ruined Ninja Gaiden when they continued censorship and delimbing was censored in NG3 which changed the game mechanics completely. Even the game makers agree, because they later removed the censorship in NG3 Razor's Edge and NGS2 Plus.
Horrible stories but a great character. Love the badass moves and expertise in every different weapon. And man do I love seeing him turning into a Dragon. Instead of these stories, I would love to see more of Hayabusas past and the history of the Dragon Ninjas as well as Hayabusa kicking ass in the present. Also the Dragon Gods and how he become the last heir of the Dragons. P.S. Can't believe he's only in this early twenties! Sexy, awesome, and a complex character. I'm not the biggest expert on Ninja Gaiden lore, but am I the only one who thinks that the whole concept of that empire of Vigoor is just WEIRD? I mean, it's an established nation in the human world, and it's run by fiends, who seem to use cybernetically enhanced soldiers in their army, and yet, there are also ordinary civilians within this empire, who are attacked by other fiends. Am I the only one who thinks that something here just makes no sense?

NG2, fiends want to wake the Archfiend, Satan incarnate, so Ryu ventures across the world to stop that from happening. Ryu kills the Archfiend's followers but eventually Ryu has to march through Hell and kill the Archfiend with the True Dragon Sword himself. He does it, and that blonde agent he rescued wants to make babies with him. NG3... I'm not sure.

I only played Ninja gaiden sigma 2 and i actually liked it and I kinda died a few times (Yeah this game was pretty hard on the PATH OF THE ACOLYTE) but i eventually beat the game and NG Sigma 2 is problemy the only game in the franchise i can play cause i Kinda can`t handle rated M-Games yet (I kinda tried mass effect 2 few years ago to see if i can get used it but it didn`t work quite yet prehaps soon. Also my favorite Music in Sigma 2 is the Magic night. Oh boy do i love this soundtrack.

Does anyone actually like the "fighting game" health system in NG2? It's simple enough to where I understood it on my first time playing the game, but it always seemed overly punishing, unenjoyable, and pointlessly complicated.
Because Tomonobu Itagaki creator of Ninja Gaiden and Dead or Alive left Tecmo/Team Ninja no longer involved in the series since NJ2 and DOA4 that's why.
