Really? What state do you live in? I live in S.C. and it gets so hot 🥵 here until the plants become desperate for water by evening. I think it depends on the climate.🪴
@@CMoore8539 Water in the morning. If you do get moisture on the leaves, this gives them time to dry out. It's much more difficult for plant diseases to get a foothold when the foliage is dry.

Your garden is so pretty I ordered some white cover up to help keep bugs out I didn't get any squash bugs last year kinda pain in butt trying to keep it down and reach in n get your squash I ordered it from temu when was on clearance
Roxanne if you take that tomato limb that has broken off and just stick it in some good dirt you will get a whole new plant. It will wilt and look horrible at first but just keep watering it and maybe a little rabbit poop and it will pop back eventually and you will get a lot more tomatoes. I think I do that every year if one breaks.

Anthony you are such a great carpenter. The greenhouse, benches, just everything you do! Rox i love to watch you cook & would like to see more along with your pickling. I used my Aunts old receipe to make pickels for the 1st time when we had our hugh garden when we first left the city for the country. Great place to raise our 2 boys. We lost our homestead in 2018 due to flooding and losing part of eyesight and health issues. It was in Arkansas and we moved to Oklahoma to be near family. Lord how I miss my land. The lifestyle. Everything. If we could start over I would want to do it just like your set up. It's perfect in my opinion. I can't see details like facial features or written words but I have enough sight left to tell I love what you've done. You guys rock!
I heard Captain Jacks Dead Bug Spray works on squash bugs. Hollar homestead mentioned it on the homestead shop pod cast #51. might be worth looking into.

You can over water the garden. If you keep the garden too wet the roots of the plants will rot,

For a broken tomato branch, a strip of wet materials and tie it around the break and support it, it will regrow together. I find when the weather is over 90 I water in the morning for min 20-30 minutes. I find that veggies and flowers get a good drink before the heat draws their energy. I love gardening, I find it very relaxing, 🌻🌞🌼💐 how about blueberries? Or other fruit?

Roxanne. Please gets netting for your squash 17:05 plants. It really works keeping the bugs off. I saw it on Whipperwill Hollar, in Arkansa just like ypy. She got the neting on line soo cheap from...Robbie and gary gardening. They have a wonderful reputation for Humming birds. It's wonderful. Netting comes in all sorts of colirs too!
Those tomatoes that you called cherry. I believe are a salad tomato . You can start fall plants. Cold crops, keep herbs growing

I heat another of people talking about the curling up of leaves on new growth. Including self. I added Epsom salt baking soda and powdered egg shells in a spray I can attach to my hose. Sprayed everything, and after 3 days and 2x day drowning, the whole garden in the am and once suns off the garden. Mine finally looks much better
I smoked zucchini with butter Adobo and Parmesan with black pepper and onions. It was so good.
Did you know cucumbers have a short life span. You could start some seeds in the greenhouse and plant more in August/September. 😊
Did you know squash bugs come out at night and do the most damage. Try taking a flashlight out at night and check to see how many you find.
Get a trash can on wheels and put garden soil in that and Rox can roll it around to where she will need it. 😊
Beautiful greenhouse. You both did a great job designing and building it. Bugs are the pits. Good luck with them. I’ve had great luck with Diatomaceous earth. I get mine at Lowe’s.

I find that root growth also makes the plant stronger you need 100g of brown sugar and 10g of Yeast mixed into 20kg of water in a sealed solution container and ferment for 24 hours using dilute 1 kg of solution with 15 kilograms of water

Hi Ant, Rox and Wyatt, just a thought if you ran 1 board along the back of each of your benches it would close of the gaps and stop a lot of dirt and leaves etc falling down the back on to the floors, just a thought. Wishing you all the best for a good summer crop from your garden from the UK.

I heard peppermint if sprayed on the plants will deter the bugs. I bought some last year but I didn't do much with my garden last year.

Shade cloth helps here in the south.
If you do some research on your cucumbers you can't let them get so big and turn yellow because the plant wants to die after that cuz it's seeds itself just saying. Just use some sevendust on your squash bugs and get rid of them they're in the ground hatching out who's going to know but you wash them off just saying. I'm not being disrespectful I'm just old and been growing for a long time in my garden.

When my Dad was alive he had the best garden, i ever saw, he got his picture put in the newspaper for growing a big big turnip. He grew evrything in his garden. I pickled okra that he grew. Wow !!! 🤩 the garden has really taken off. Hopefully your pest management is able to keep them away from your veggies. Seemed like I battled something every season when I kept a garden. They can literally move in overnight and by noon stuff is dead or dying.

so to kill your squash bugs..my 81 yo aunt says to catch a few of the bugs, and put them in a blender with a cup of water grind them up and spray back onto the plants where there are bugs. She swears by it. I have never tried it. but thought I would share it.

I'm not sure if you do this but with that soap mixture that used in your garden try to add some peppermint oil that is supposed to keep a lot of different kinds of bugs away including flies mosquitoes good luck to you

When you get your goats you can make your own cheese
Pick your cucumbers when they’re much smaller. They’ll be crisper and they won’t be all seeds. You let them get big and they lose their nutrients and flavor and the seeds get bigger. Why do you do that?
