I'm sorry but if you as an environmist and a politician you could walk to work. This is the problem with politicians today. They have so many complaints but no concrete answers. But i do agree with free bus rides if you can provide self driving buses that are energy free where you don't have to refuel them. The problem with politicians today is only their own party have the answer to everything. If only you join one of the two parties and make it work. The more there are political parties the more people don't know who to vote for. The green 🍏 party is just a distraction from the real problem with people have to live with.
No ! The taxing of large businesses is not the answer . Lowering the price of the consumer is the answer. More money in my pocket is the goal of each and every citizen. Government administration love money and never really give it back to the right people.
That's incredibly clever! Unfortunately, anything people are addicted to (wages/gasoline/energy/food/etc) is essentially low hanging fruit for governments to tax. The smokers are so addicted to their habit, that I doubt $50 per pack would stop everyone from smoking.
Corporate profiteering is causing poverty. Blaming it on taxes is an excuse to provide cover for corporations to keep raising prices and squeezing the middle/working class. Tax cuts only benefit the wealthy.
Mental health issues should start with encouragement that the nuclear family is the best way to help as a single mother is the worse thing for kids today.
Wow. I can change my car over to electric for a mere $20,000-$30,000 as opposed to buying a new vehicle. Are you serious!! That is anything BUT affordable! for the average person, especially in today's economy.
When I was poor, the GST/carbon tax/etc. cheques were a nice bonus towards that month's expenses. There is no rebate that makes an unsustainable wage sustainable.
Sonia - if you listen to Kris Sims, from The Canadian Federations on Tax, how would you respond to her report? As in her report on the emissions ratio of Canada, the problem of India not able to attain natural gas from Canada, and therefore stuck on wood and animal dung, contributing ENORMOUS emissions, and the fact the Trudeau, is quoted, in stating that Canada’s could be totally shut down, not making a dint of difference in carbon pollution?
If you’re on the left, you must fight the urge to label centrists who want effective climate policy to be balanced against effective economic policy as “climate change deniers.” That is inventing a boogie man. But hey, their platform is literally called “the book of hopes and dreams.” The greens are a caricature of idealist leftists living in a fantasy world.
The vast majority of BC people do not agree with the Greens policies. People have real needs right now and this price on carbon is making it worse. The people of Canada are screaming for a Carbon Tax election.
These podcasts are like the only things I'm using for a school project, this is quite helpful thanks!
All her talking does not allow for the normal amount of questions

Super thankful for all these interviews! It's very helpful to hear each party's stance on different topics.

Sonia is such a rare political truth teller. Go Sonia, GO!
If you tax cigarettes to provide an incentive to stop smoking, then why do you tax income?

High taxes are causing poverty whether these politicians want to accepted or not.

It’s not social media , it’s the adults in the lives of children and government policies thst are the problem!

Stop watching then. Kinda simple
It’s wise to understand your adversary. Wouldn’t you agree ?
@@matti8894 Are you against the hysteria or a Climate Change denier of sorts?

It’s a 100% Marxist scam.

I must have missed the questions about former BC Greens leader Andrew Weaver and his praise for Rustad and the BC Conservatives.

The green candidate is out here saying grocers and gas stations are responsible for inflation?
Love the series of interviews with party leaders! Nice work.
The green party is really out of touch with day to day living.
I appreciate her voice to show how crazy a leftist can go.
