I bought the same horn and it fit perfect on my 2007 XL1200R, nice tone too. Looking over the shop manual / wiring schematic not clear if the stock horn switch can handle 5 amps. So I may add a relay instead of burning out the stock switch. I checked many sources the rating for the handlebar horn switch wasn’t found. It is in the 15 amp accessory circuit but that does not mean the switch can handle the extra current draw.
@@ninyoprinze I actually am not sure but I would imagine that year is still very similar to my bike. I would say if your horn mounts in the same spot as mine it would probably fit. I hope this helped sorry I don’t have a definite answer. If I had to guess I would say it would fit.
Waste of money! So you basically paid to have a quieter horn that is bulkier and takes up more space. I’m looking for a louder horn that fits in that location…. not a “prettier sounding” horn. Lol
Enough with the stay safe. What is the matter with everyone. If a car hits you from behind, then it’s just unlucky. Your penchant for safety or getting wished ‘safe’ this or that is a sign of unrealistic expectations about life in general. You have a boat, you ride a motorcycle, you ought to be laughing and smiling a lot. I’ll even bet you take people out on the boat and are kind. But staying safe...seriously, who gives a shit about being scared all the time enough to warrant that sort of message. If people are learning to ride or just navigate around life, then if they don’t have the bloody ‘safe’ thing down by childhood then they probably aren’t going to be watching your channel. I bought a a Harley and then realised, it’s not anything cool anymore except the sound and the dogged resistance to change as it’ll hurt the bottom line - oh, and most importantly for me, it’s American, so I wanted people to know I’m with the USA all the way. If you wanna ride dangerously, do it. Do it more. Take chances that are unsafe. Ride at speeds that are unsafe. Your Harley sounds nice at 80 - 110mph. It’s the only time I’ve ever thought the bike has ever demonstrated it had a sweet spot when winding her out in top gear. So no more safety, please, leave that up to the Nanny States and the lamer RUclips channels.
I don’t know why RUclips put this comment in my spam folder but I love it. I love our country and freedom of speech so im making sure its a public comment for everyone to read. And comment on.
