i asked my hematologist if before they had blood testing machines did they feel, smell, taste it? he said that wouldn't be safe. :-) i also asked if all the data is via reports is it an ideal specialty for someone afraid of blood and he said he also does biopsies and had to do an internship so there's no way to completely avoid it. it seems like real doctors always give a straight answers...which is probably a good way to go in a medical environment. i'd hate to die because of a poorly executed sarcastic comment :-)

Chris Parnell is one of the most underappreciated SNL alumnus of all time.
Him and Will Forte.

To be fair, who can say if Parnell specifically wants a leading role like those.
He is a major player in voice acting I wouldn't say u recognized considering he plays main characters in Archer and Rick and Morty

My favorite part of that joke is that there's no follow up. Usually with Dr. Spaceman there's a punchline where he clarifies what he really meant or something. Here...Liz dances, it's awkward, and that's exactly what he wanted, end of story :D

It's all in the delivery. Parnell has always had it down pat. From SNL, 30 Rock, Hot Rod, Archer, Rick & Morty. The man is on 🔥

The blood tastes like root beer might be the funniest line in this whole show for me. The ludicrous imagery in my head to get to that conclusion is beyond words

I think the most disturbing thing about Dr. Spaceman is that he's taking his brother Randy to Taco Bell one day before Randy goes to prison for life.
Why? That's the perfect place for a send off
He's an inspiration to all. Despite his haters and doubters he became surgeon general. See kids, with hard work you can accomplish anything.
I love Dr. Spaceman, but Pete nailed that 'reporter having a stroke, which turned out to be a migraine' impression. He sounded just like her.
I'm not subscribing to Peacock until there's a Dr. Spaceman series
So many hilarious lines/moments from this show and Dr Spaceman's mispronunciation of "diabetes" still makes me laugh the hardest. Chris Parnell is such a treasure.
My favorite line of his is “Humans need more animal blood... it keeps the spine straight!”
Came for the Hornberger burtation, stayed for the everything else. But I would like for them to have included the few seconds before it, where Leo examines Pete with his light and says, "Ohhhh-kay...and my penlight IS working."
Such an amazing character with a brilliant bit of closure with his final appearance. Liz’ little wave goodbye at him, absolutely kills me.

The "Hard K" joke is an homage to The Sunshine Boys and Matthau's character. He always told his nephew (played by Richard Benjamin) that "words with a K in them are funny". Brilliant!

Between Dr Spaceman in 30 Rock, Dr Wordsmith (the literal doctor in Arrested Development) and Krieger in Archer, we are spoilt for choice when it comes to TV's mad 'doctors'.

The stroked out reporter bit at 5:06, I spotted a lady with cue-cards in the background that had good angle. I wonder if they used her for that scene and for shots that showed, she just did some "generic movement" to blend into the background. Not to say the actor couldn't actually pull off the memorization, but if I'm right, they were pretty clever.
This is the BEST character and Chris parnell was perfect in the role!
