Stayed there about 10 yrs. ago, and it had been remolded a few years before that. It was a colder time of year so I used the hot tub. I like a casino room with a view and a large couch by the window.

I almost forgot that this used to be called Trump Castle (1985) before becoming Trump Marina (1997) and then finally Golden Nugget (2011). I am going to date myself by saying I remember when the Golden Nugget was on the Boardwalk and was a Wynn Property at the time. I was in Resorts on opening day, the very first casino in Atlantic City and also visited the Golden Nugget when it first opened up. I am sure many people don't remember there was also a Playboy Casino in Atlantic City. Well enough nostalgia, it is nice to finally see you spending a night at the Golden Nugget. I have spent many a night at the Golden Nugget mainly to hang out at The Deck. The casino itself is not one of my favorites because the casino floor is very small and after a certain hour everything is closed up which sometimes can be 9 to 10 pm. I am a night owl when I go to Atlantic City but the saving grace is that The Deck is open to about 11 pm or when that last band is finished playing at least on a Sunday night which is the day I mostly hang out at The Deck. I have spent so many beautiful nice fun days at The Deck on Sundays. I wish that I had enough money to spend every Sunday in the summertime at The Deck. The Deck usually closes up the weekend after Labor Day weather permitting as I have been there on closing day but they did not open because of stormy weather so be sure to check the weather before you take the trip. I remember the Playboy casino, and the bunnies.🐇🐇😎! early 80's I think. trump ended up buying that one, don't remember what he named it though.
Wow, I am truly impressed! GN looks like a great place to stay with a lot going on. I really like the colors they use. I was thinking that I had never been there until I saw Vic & Anthony's and remembered that I ate there years ago on my first trip to AC.

Hey Jen. It's Alex from AC. Glad to see you finally made it back to the Golden Nugget for the night. I stay there usually every other Thursday. I like the staff the rush lounge and on Thursdays you have better food options and less crowded than weekends. M9nday thru Wednesday nothing open for food after 10pm. I also like the chairman lounge upstairs on the 4th floor. Haven't stayed in a renovated room yet because I like the tub option all the rooms are pretty small even the crystal suites aren't much bigger. After all the Golden Nugget is the smallest casino hotel in AC.

Brochures are great and I always gather them. One amazing feature of them is they can be read without any internet or data both of those conked out on my phone this morning 😮

Great video. I've never stayed there. I have played and ate there. I didn't even know that Chart House was there. I've been to one in Alexandria, VA, which had good food.

I like Chart House, too. A classy franchise, though it's been around for 40 years at least.
I don't stay or gamble at the golden nugget, but I do go there for drinks and the entertainment in the summer. You really can't choose 1 casino over the other. They each have something likeable about them. I'm with you, I tend to stay at Harrah's in the winter. I also used to stay at Harrah's more when I had my little dog with me. She loved to walk on their boardwalk. Of course winning big at one casino will help you like that one best!

Thanks for the Golden Nugget review. It's my favorite in Atlantic City because I love the staff and the expresso martini at the video poker in the Rush lounge. I have been filming my rooms in Atlantic City for years. It's because of you that I have started my own channel on RUclips SuiteLyfe. I only uploaded shorts, but I'm going to post my blogs soon. I stay at GN when I am in AC … thanks for the tour of the renovated rooms. I always stay in a room on a low level as my friend hates elevators. As of last week that room was not renovated.

Living for years in the Florida panhandle and now South Georgia we’ve done the Nugget in Biloxi for years and Vegas the last 3.
Nothing against the GN but we’ve just never won anything there.
In our first ever trip to AC end of June we didn’t visit the Nugget because there’s just not enough funds to go around 😂😂😂.

Great great video ! Golden nugget is the only casino/ hotel I haven’t visited. I’m usually on the boardwalk mostly at Tropicana . I will definitely visit GN before summer ends thanks to this video 😊

Never was here when it was Trump Castle. Looks like a nice place to stay. Not really a pool person. Already hit the like button and am a long time subscriber. My wife liked Lillie's.

I prefer a small hotel room. I live in a small apartment. it's what i'm used to.
It prob wasn’t even that small I just came from atrium suites at Harrhas! 😊
Not me; I like them huge! Once they gave me a one bed thing near the elevator and I always wished I went down to complain, but it was only 1 night. Did I say the wrong thing to the front desk attendant or maybe looked dumb? Rarely do I find a hotel that I think is booked up for the night, but who knows?!

Maybe rainforest cafe and the steel pier. Too young for the towers but I’m sure they will enjoy the lights and excitement. Feels like a carnival

It’s nice especially in the summer but it is not close to anything. If you want to visit other casinos the boardwalk would be more fun unless you don’t mind driving around. Hard rock is in a great location for exploring and getting a whole AC vibe. I travel a lot alone and always feel safe there is a lot of security and police patrol around. Have fun!

My issue at GN was ventilation, casino and rooms very stuffy air. But their pool and deck are the best in ac. Shhh

The remodeled rooms are not that different from the old rooms. The lamps are the same, new couch and vinyl floors. The beds are comfortable and i find i sleep really well there. I used to stay there as the rooms were very inexpensive off season, but i noticed that the Caesar group of casinos have matched them in price. Dos Caminos is ok, but your average mexican restaurant. The Chinese restaurant is ok, average but expensive for what you get. Michael Patricks is their cafe that is open everyday and is ok, nothing spectacular. The problem at Golden Nugget is that the slots and video poker machines are poorly maintained. They seem to not have slot techs so many buttons do not work. The golden Nugget seems a lot more lively than in the fall and winter. The gym is not good at the golden nugget. Very outdated equipment in the gym.

Agree completely about the poorly maintained machines. I play 4 certain machines. 2 of the 4 card readers have been out of order for over 6 months. One machine has the spin broken for just as long. Try to eat there from Tuesday to Thursday. If you’re not an Elite member you can’t go in the Chairman’s Club. That leaves Michael Patrick or the sandwich place downstairs. It was my go to casino for years. I’m really disappointed.

Your video's are great. Sorry to say, but the the average age of the patrons that go to the Golden Nugget is like 80. Not a place for young people.... it's actually pretty boring, especially on the weekends (well except for the Deck)
