This video is why I bought a Beta. I was going to get a TBI or even a Sherco, but then I saw how easy it was to jet on this video and went with a 300rr

Excellent, almost every 2 stroke carb is built this way !

Another good video. Nice and efficient. How do you warm-up your 2 stroke? I've seen a couple of suggestions but they are very different. Thanks

I start it up turn the choke off as quick as I can, ride it around easy for a little bit and then hammer down.

I took my 2024 200 out first time and it stalled 3 times at the end of riding and wouldn’t hold idle without throttle when warm.
When engine is cold it will start without choke which makes me thing air/fuel and possible move needle down? Any advice?
    Spark plug was almost fouled

Sounds too rich. Check the float height many came from the factory set incorrectly and lean out your pilot jet. You probably have a 45 pilot, try a 42 or 40. If it's not idling I would focus on the pilot circuit first before I moved the needle.

I just remove the slide and loosen the carb clamps, and rotate the carb. Pull bowl off and put whatever jet in.

You don't even need to remove the bowl on the beta and others with the 17mm nut at the bottom, that's why they put it there.

@TepcoCycleRepair idk how you change jets if the bowl is not removed, dude. Is that bolt hole big enough to change the jets? I've always pulled the bowl off.

@@randonsoderstrom3647 Yep it's big enough, I do it at 2:37 in the video.

Hello, thanks for sharing this video. Just got a 22 300RR and I have some pipe bang on throttle decel...What is the starting point to get rid off that hammer knocking noise? Reeds? Octane? Jetting? Dealer says it's normal to get some pipe knocking in beta 2 strokes... If I could, I could send you my video so you can ear exactly the noise a I talking about (there's no pinging and i'm running stock settings) Thanks Again.

Sometimes going up a jet size on the pilot can help that. Nothing really to worry about, my KTM's did it also.

Thanks for this, I am picking up a 22' 200RR next week. QUESTION: In a previous vid you dropped the needle one notch = leaner. Do you expect to leave it in that position from here and only adjust using main and pilot jetting? THANK YOU! Jim from Texas

It all depends on the feel of the bike with weather change. If I'm getting a rich or lean feel on mid throttle I'll move the clip. I have found that if you set it good in your mid temp ranges, and you ride year round in the same elevation, you usually don't have to touch anything with season change.
