Transpose Error : Rows to Columns

'You can't paste this here because the copy are and paste area aren't the same size. Select just once cell in the paste area or an area that's the same size, and try pasting again.'
Why the transpose didn’t occur?
Maximum number of columns allocated : 16384
Number of rows we copied for transposing into columns : 1048576
Solution :
.. Instead of selecting the entire column( 1048576 rows), we copied only the required rows (less than 16384) manually and transposed, so the data wouldn’t paste crossing the allocated columns limit.
