Essendon lost their first game for 2 months, and they kicked 12 behinds to 5 from direct shots. They hit the post 3 times, had a couple of horrific calls go against them, and still nearly won.
What's your point? As an Eseendon supporter I agree with the analysis 100%. We got serious problems in our midfield that need fixing. They have been struggling against bottom sides in the past 4 weeks. They will need to bring their A game against Carlton or it will be a thumping.
@@Molegahe1234 lol… Parish is our best at getting hands on the ball at stoppages and has been for a long time and a Bomber fan can’t work out him missing isn’t good for our mids?.. lol. Also, on the weekend we won both clearances and centre clearances.
@@Molegahe1234our ‘serious problem in our midfield’ is called injuries… how many sides midfields would excel missing their #1 and #2 ruckman as well as 2 of our 3 most senior mids in setters and parish
Bro, did you watch the game??? Every single goal Essendon got that last quarter was either from a BS free kick or non call that should have been paid against them. It was just that inaccurate shots is what made them lose.
I think the media is off the line. Plus 27 ,5 and many individuals not up to it.Many have the lost the edge . Spoon is talk and I dont quite get it but the bull is near the sheep. Simple things. Can it be re set ? Can the joy come back ? Can alarm bells ring with the Montagna ?
Happy for 18 Essendon players to tag 18 Carlton players, a one on one game would be interesting as its your quick play that is supposed to be your asset and we love nothing more than a maul. That is not how you will beat Carlton.
Essendon outplayed Gold Coast fairly convincingly. Gold Coast where extremely lucky to get the points if the umpiring was fair essendon probably win by 3 goals
Hobbs lol? You realize Hobbs hasn't played in the midfield all year right? He was playing half forward role.... Setterfield and Parish are desperately needed for Essendon's midfield balance though.
he wasn’t that good hence why he hasn’t been in there all year even with the two u mention out. Essendon aren’t missing him they are 💯 missing Setterfield and Parish though. Idk why u guys trying to die on the hill of a 20 year old project player who’s been sitting at HF all year as the reason for Essendon midfield misfiring when he hasn’t been in there all year 😂

We are 5th in the league for centre clearances.

Parish’s influence has been missed
If Essendon had kicked straight they would have won. You could do the same analysis on mistakes the Suns made, but they won so they get a free pass.
Essendon were gifted at least three goals by the umpires in the last quarter.
Who would've thought putting Stringer into the midfield could be ineffective
You got a typo in the thumbnail there guys

Along way to go still in the season for rush judgement .
Huh, never heard of arouns
Shows you what a pre-season is about, Oliver didn't really have a proper one and doesn't look fit and strong like he once was.
Hopefully Essendon bring the tag back cause that was working well

Parish out hurts. Durham isn't just a tagger. Misread this one I think.

Well they should if they want to be a contender. 3 days extra break, an abundance of top 20 draft picks, no injuries, plus the men in green.
