I mean, Aaron by himself is just incredible. Add Daryl Hall and the band of musical magicians to the mix ... its over. Such talent. They make you feel this tune. ❤
I grew up in New Orleans, and so I grew up seeing the Meters and the Neville Brothers do their thing all around town. Thanks for bringing this to us in 2021.
@@shakeezy Well, I loved it, but it has it's faults, it's drawbacks. It's not for everyone, that's for sure. It's a lot different than living in the rest of the United States. Sometimes that difference is beautiful, sometimes that difference is exasperating. But, yeah, I love New Orleans.
Originally from New Orleans as well. The ONLY way to close out Jazzfest was to see the Nevilles. Sometimes, before the Neville Brothers' set, Aaron would show up at the Gospel Tent and sing Amazing Grace. An out of body experience!
Bonnie Raitt once said that, “listening to Aaron Neville sing, Tell It Like It Is, is a religious experience “! I agree! Listen to him sing the Ava Maria. It’s otherworldly. He can sing any genre. I heard him duet with Pavarotti, and it was heart-stopping! His work with his family on songs like Angola Bound, and other classic Neville Brothers music, is unmatched in New Orleans musical history. It’s one of the iconic New Orleans sound. Thank you for reacting to my favorite song and artist. I have been waiting and hoping that you would do this one!
The guy between Daryl and Aaron is Shane Theriot, he is the music director for LFDH, also plays in the Hall and Oates band on tour. But, Shane also played for the Neville Brothers before this!!
Everyone who shows up at Daryl's House is special.....these are singers or groups like the O'Jay's who were so outstanding in their day but now they are thirty if so years older and they still are great.
I was such a fan back when they were touring, I lost track of how many times I saw them - 10 or 12, maybe even more. I'm such a singer person, and people are always asking who's your favorite band? Well, the only answer I ever had to that was the Neville Brothers. If you haven't experienced the Brothers live when they were at their peak, you have missed a lot. Four brothers, who were all so different, which made their blend so magical. Aaron, well, you already know. Art, on keyboards, and also part of the Meters, Charles on slinky saxophone, and Cyril on percussion and vocals. Cyril is also a great singer. And when they sang harmony.....!!! First time I heard of them was on Austin City Limits, and they sang Fever. That was it. I was hooked for life. ruclips.net/video/WcXj_reUVhs/видео.html
Aaron Neville at Daryl’s House is a WOW !! I love hearing Aaron’s voice singing Tell It Like It Is in a studio setting!! Love to Daryl & all the musicians involved in this recording ☮️💕🎶🥰
Nothing short of the best! Mr. Neville brings it EVERY time? His voice makes me almost sob with its beauty and purity. It almost hurts to listen….but it hurts SO good. Nothing but love….thank you Jamel, for what you do. ❤️🔥

I could drive to Daryls' old place in less than 2 hours from where I live in N.Y.; what we all wouldn't give for a seat at That table. Thanks, J. Sorry to hear about your other channel. Peace, big guy✌
We seen the Neville Brothers at a free concert the night before the rescheduled Voodoo Fest in Memphis after hurricane Katrina. My sister started talking to someone about the t shirt she was wearing that day. Turned out it was one of the Neville Brothers. That just made our day that much better.
Love Aaron Neville. He can sing any genre of music. Would like to see a reaction of him singing The Grand Tour originally sung by country music artist George Jones in 1974. Neville does it justice.
Jamel play the version that he does with Bonnie Raitt rat Ray and Greg Allman live you’ll just love it and with his brother it’s fabulous this song this is the queen

What a legendary voice!!! While living in New Orleans, I came to understand why their entire family is royalty. There will never be another voice like his.
Aaron Neville the voice of an angel 😇So glad you still have the keys to Daryl's house 😉 Peace love & happiness to you & your beautiful family Jamel ✌️💕🤗
Aaron''s 80th birthday, today. An absolute original. What an incredible instrument his voice is. The guitar player, Shane Theriot, has some history with Aaron. He toured with the Neville Brother for a good while. Man, that was good. Aaron's half way into his 70's there.

This is my favorite song by Neville, but adding Daryl to the mix is incredible. We’re all getting up there in age, but these two are awesome together!!
"All These Things " by Art Neville from 1962 is romantic as all get out. In the past, Aaron has said that Art was his biggest influence and in " All These Things " it is evident.
Yes he does, very unique voice, called the voice of an angel! I have been listening to this track for about 50 years? Saw him in concert 2 years ago, fascinating watching the guy belting out the vocals and seeing all the muscles in his face! Cannot wait when everything get back to some normalcy... For the longest time...I had Aaron & Linda Ronstadt's singing together on SNL back when I recorded on VCR.I probably still have it somewhere.Beautiful💖💖💖💖
Aaron’s voice is unique and amazing and blends well with others. He did a second Grammy winning song with Linda Ronstadt, called “All My Life”. It is definitely one you will enjoy. Linda also did one with James Ingram called “Somewhere Out There”. Love your reactions. I always feel good when I watch your videos.
The Neville Brothers put on one of the greatest shows I’ve ever seen. Every brother has a different strength. Aaron, of course, has the voice. That was very nice. The sax was a revelation. Maybe “Yellow Moon” by The Neville Brothers? Aaron’s voice and brother Charles Neville’s saxophone.
Years ago we saw the Neville Brothers at a blues festival in Orange County California. One of his brothers introduced Aaron as " The Gift" and he sang a solo version of Amazing Grace. It was absolutely astounding!!!! By the way Stevie Ray Vaughn was also at that festival.
