Nice job John, I made a raised feeder for my pup a couple years ago also. Putting the pocket holes in later was not a big deal, not sure I would classify it as a mistake.

I like how you used your router to make the bowl holes. I see your router raises and lowers which is a cool feature. Mine is more basic so I may drill a pilot hole to start my cut but I def want to make that jig for my router. Also I was wondering if your bowls are 7 inches and you measured 7 inches for your cut, why didn't the bowls fall thru the holes if they are the same size? Really cool looking holder. Turned out beautifully. Thanks for posting and giving me some tips. Wish me luck!

Can you make a bigger bowl one? I literally only ever find this size you used. I get the idea would be to just a bigger peice of wood. But idk I don't ever see anyone making the bigger sized bowls like my dog uses. The small bowls are so messy so thats why we went with bigger ones he loves em. I'm just thinking I should raise it a little not too much tho bc ik it's not good to have it raised too high. I was thinking the height you did but bigger bowls. I don't have all the fancy things you used to hold the legs together or that screw knot thing. Was hoping mainly wood glue and screws would do
What an awesome project. Fantastic work my friend. I love this. Simple and easy. I don't have a biscuit joiner, but I do have a Kreg jig. My late father loved woodworking stuff. I very much got his passion even though I don't have his tools. I'm loving my Ryobi tools. This raised dog food bowl project has been on my to do list for quite some time. Your video is easy to follow and understand and you were a joy to watch and listen to. You kept my attention the whole time. Keep up the great work. New subscriber here. Can't wait to go see what other videos you have.

if you wish for your project to stay in one piece as the seasons change, don't build your table this way. you need to allow for wood movement in your top or all of your work will be a waste of time.

They are called Rockler Cookies which you can get at a Rockler Woodworking and Hardware store or on line.

I need an elevated stand to hold a square slow feeder……anyone have any ideas???
All of my dog bowls are flanged at the bottom not top so none would work with this design.
