      More than likely she got the dogs because of her drug involvement.....and her stupidity. She knew what her dogs were capable of and chose the dogs because of it. She didn't care to train them, probably neither one has ever seen a vet, obviously drugs were more important to her than her dogs so in the end the dogs will pay the price for the owners stupidity.Unless you are highly trained and can devote your life to CONSTANTLY training and giving the dog the proper exorcise and attention it needs you should NOT have a Pitbull or a Catahoula. These dogs are muscular with tremendous amounts of energy and both have reputations of being aggressive even with the proper training. When these dogs attack the devastation is often fatal or severely disabling. If the child had survived his life would have been forever changed , filled with non stop pain, deep scars, severe PTSD, and probably confined to a wheel chair.I hope this child's family can get justice for their son's attack.

      @shelby477 I 100% agree with you the owner is responsible. But I would guarantee that other dog didn't have pit in it, pits are not fighting dogs until they are trained to be, neglected or abused. The owner clearly was irresponsible with them, and the result was a poor boy lost life life. This is a result of any dog clearly being mistreated/ not cared for. I just wish people would start seeing that instead of trying to "almost guarantee they other was also mixed with pit"

    • @daisy-gk5hg
      @daisy-gk5hg 11 дней назад +8

      @shelby477 As a person with personal experience owning the breed over many years, some rescues and some from pup ( 3 now in my home ) can say these dogs don't come out wanting to fight, they come out as a loving puppy that wants to please there owners. They are amazing family dogs like any other breed. Also, keep in mind that any dog breed is still an animal so as a responsible owner it thier job to take the proper steps with owning a dog. But like all dogs with proper training, socializing them with people/animals, proper medical check ups, exercise, nutrition.I can say firsthand how wonder they can be with responsible owners. It's so sad how people get the breed to look cool or make them mean. I, wish those people would stop getting dogs all together. Because clearly in this video they mistreated 2 different dog breeds with the same poor outcome from some or many forms of neglect, and this sweet young boy lost his life.

    I will tell you why people don't report loose dogs. My neighbors dog came in the yard of my home daycare approached the children and growled at them. I called animal control and the next year of our life was hell. My husband is a cop. She repeatedly called his supervisor he almost lost his job. They harassed us, threatened and intimidated us. They threw fireworks at our house. It got so bad we moved and i closed my daycare just so my husband wouldn't loose his job and we could have peace and be safe. People who let their dogs roam feel entitled and they get angry and aggressive when they get called on it.

      I'm really sorry you went through that. There are indeed so many entitled people around here who feel like they don't have to use a leash or control their dogs.
      Having said that, I don't think you should have moved. Leaving like that only would serve to positively reinforce such toxic behavior. I think every state has laws against stalking and harassment at this point, and you very well may have been able to gather evidence on video (equipment might have been cheaper than moving) and either seek criminal charges or get a restraining order. If your husband's supervisor was aware of the situation, he or she should have supported your husband; if your husband nearly lost his job because of someone else's wrongful behavior, that's more of a problem with the job (or its management) than anyone else involved.

      Mistreatment often leads to aggression. Also, sometimes people express their own self image through their choice of dog, meaning people who see themselves as tough, strong, etc., will choose a breed that they think is similar to their self-image. People who glorify strength get a strong dog, then mistreat them, that's how this happens.

The mother of the boy threw her body on top of him to stop the dogs from attacking him more, but by then he was no longer breathing. One of the dogs likely tore his throat out, and that can happen in an instant once a dog knocks a human on the ground, so imagine how little time anyone had to react to what was happening. To say that this boy's horrible death was a tragedy is insulting. This kind of thing is inevitable unless these animals are eliminated. Yeah of course all the neighbors have stories. You are correct. Most dog owners tend to anthropomorphosize their dogs. (Thinking they are like humans) This leads to faulty handling and denial that all dogs can bite. Some breeds are dangerous and have been bred for violence. This horrific extent of this boys' fatal injuries lend testimony to the fact that dogs are not humans and they don't think like humans. Many people with dogs are egregiously ignorant. Owning any animal is a tremendous responsibility.

Multiple people called about that dog but Marion County informed them that there was nothing they could do unless an animal control officer witnessed aggressive or you were willing to sign an affidavit and go to court as a witness. The people who owned the dog were drug dealers. No one was going to court to testify against them. Eventually, someone shot the dog because Marion County was fine with waiting until someone died.

Dogs are great family companions, but if a psychopath or an i*iot owns one, they can associate certain gestures and movements with their oppressor and act on impulse. Traumatized individuals behave similarly.

      Very typical of pitbulls to break bones. They have a bite force of 330 PSI, and were bred to take down take down bears, bulls and other large animals before they were bred to kill other dogs. Typically they will bite and not let go (even when being beat with bats or tools) If they do let go they often recover quickly and resume their attacks.Most people who do survive an attack will be severely scarred and often disabled for life.
