I saw them live for the first time in 1996 @graspop metal meeting in Belgium, I dell in love with her and her voice, haven't gotten up yet, seen them live 14 times since!
That look she has with the "they were surprised" part, gets me every time 😂

Mother Earth is, for me, Within Temptation's best album. They are all good but this one is a classic. 🤘🏻🔥😊💚
Uff Those days were she used to sing in this way, like a witch, I guess that she sings technically better in the Black Symphony concert, but the windmill and her vocal style in Wetcher are the reasons why I love this version
She sang as kate bush back in the days. Its lovely
At the time of Black Symphony yes her technique had gotten a bit better (not that it was really needed) but the fun thing there is it's actually not the best demonstration of her capability. She had been feeling a little under the weather for several days prior to Black Symphony and her voice was a little off and she worried about that because it's not the kind of show you can either easily or cheaply move, so this was a concern. She said after doing it that she herself could very much hear the difference but actually kind of liked the rough edge the being a little bit ill had given her voice and that it worked well.
Sharon is a queen.

Sharon really would "come get you" - listen to "The Unforgiving" album! (There are 3 short films and 6 comic books to go with it!) The first track "Why Not Me" sets the tone.

Oh, I just remembered...if you want to see Sharon and the band perform live in a different kind of setting, you should check out their live performance at a radio station music studio. The song is a cover of Bruno Mars' Grenade (I personally think it's better than the original 😉) and it includes a short interview with her just being herself...no make-up, Saturday morning clothes, smiling, talking with her hands, Lol! You get the idea! 😁

They were the opening band on the opening day of the festival, I believe. I think they went on at 12:15 pm on the Thursday

Thanx for your reaction. This is still my favorite song and performance of them. This is around the time i hooked up on them too. I like the new songs too, but i like her natural, non conformative way of singing from the early days more. It just grabs me. I also like that she really dresses up for a show and has an eye for details, like the bracelet/ring combination. Very typical for Sharon. Off the chart performance.
