    Hi Jennifer! For those who can't afford this kit, there is an alternative. Use double sided tape on tin foil cut into strips to replace the copper strips. If you have access to a cheap set of LED christmas lights, you can strip them down to individual bulbs with 2 wires from each (or use a short string of bulbs). They may not be as flat but you can always do a thick front panel. There are cheap batteries sold everywhere, diy stores, dollar/euro/pound stores etc. I've done 3D box cards this way too.

    Such a fantastic card! I think they would be fun for the children. Remember when there used to cards like these? At the time though there was a lot off wires and other things hidden. My point, all what's (that's) old is new again!? Such a fun card to make! I am always looking to expand my knowledge with a new technique. I sure appreciate you keeping us up to date with the newest items and techniques! Blessings. Lisa

    I love this. I too, have been holding back doing a light up card because of the cost, but they look so fun, I may have to break down and do it. But...winning a Chibi Tronics kit would be even better and oh so awesome. So thank you Jennifer for offering such a great give away and as always for doing a great card!!!!

    Hi, Jennifer. After all these months, I'm finally getting around to making light-up cards... great tutorial. If your kids REALLY want to make these cards, Amazon does have SMD LED lights for a good price - pennies apiece instead of several dollars for the brand name. I ordered some of the generic lights, and they work fine. You gave great instructions, and I'll be using your tips. Thanks for all the knowledge you share.

    So Cute!I love making light up cards,and I have used the chibi lights andthey are fantastic...but the price point is a bit high. I did some searching and found that you can buy the tiny little LED lights in many different colors. The lights are 1206 LED lights, I got mine from Amazon. They are basically the same light without the sticker, but work exactly the same way with the circuit you build with the copper tape. Once I have my circuit in place I use a piece of clear tape to hold the light down on the circuit. Jennifer, I love everything you do, you have been such an inspiration to me, Thank You!

    I have been looking at these light kits for about a year My Daughter has a pic of her and her boyfriend on Center point tower ( Australia) in the night and the back ground is of all the buildings and that makes it look like stars so I thought light kit behind it would look great. BUT as you said there pricey, in Austraila there even more BUT I think the effect is worth it all. Cutting the tape in half is a great idea didn't know you could do that.

    HJennifer,i I just love this card! I love all your videos and ideas! I need HELP! I was wondering how you store your wood stamps if you leave them on the blocks or take them off to use with the MISTI? I seem to not get a good stamp image on a lot of my wooden stamps so I was thinking about taking them off. Also I seem to have more storage items than I need because everything I try seems not to work out. Thank you for any suggestions and any other solutions for storing things. My room is 11x11. I feel very over whelmed and frustrated spending more time organizing and I want to create again. If anyone else has ideas I would love to hear from you also. Thank you Jules

    • @patcyzauskas7216
      @patcyzauskas7216 8 лет назад

      I leave mine on wood. And have NO MISTY. Rarely do I have problems stamping an image. I ink up well, checking stamp. I place paper on stamping pad that I've had 15 yrs. they still sell on at ScrapbookingMadeSimple.com. Apple firm pressure all areas of stamp for 20-30 seconds to give time for ink to transfer onto paper. If I do have small area with no image, I use Memento fine tip marker to draw it in by hand. If it was something I was adding embossing powder to I go ahead and heat set what worker and them use fine tip embossing marker to fix that, apply powder and reheat that area.

    • @patcyzauskas7216
      @patcyzauskas7216 8 лет назад

      I haven't bought anything specific for my stamps. I reuse plastic containers that I buy tomatoes or lettuce from costco. I store stamp by categories--birds, cats, dogs,, flowers, ect and the holidays--birthday, Valentine's Day, Easter, ect. I have a binder with either stamped image or Xerox copy of every stamp in category it belongs. I write who makes the stamp and what shelf and what container container its in. I've filled 7 shelves in a 6' hi x 4' wide cabinet(secondhand and painted) and one shelf of open bookcase. I'm still working on my room but it doesn't keep me from being creative. I haven't figured where to store my stencils but I'll figure it all out. Because I live in earthquake country, like like majority of my stuff in closed cabinets I think the process of organizing is an ever going thing as u get more stuff. I'm trying to use up my stuff before I get new stuff. Make what u have work and use what u have. Then get your mojo working on what u love to do. 😘

      She probably made the tub herself. I have made mine by gluing a cable holder inside the lid of a tub.
      I bought some cable holders on Ebay. They are called Cable Clips or Cable Drops, and just one of them
      inside the lid is enough to hold the spoon.
