Love the memories-Acclimation pen days for Otto & Rollo, how much they have grown to enjoy their wild enclosure now! Dani has graduated back to the wild where all bears need to be, and (hopefully) Summitt Bear is not too far behind. Hawkins Bear, you lived a life that otherwise would not have been possible post - car accident. Hawkins' memory stays with us on video, thanks to ABR.
Hello, Elizabeth. We're taking it one day at a time. The vets called and told us that Hawkins' blood work came back normal, but he may have a hairline fracture in his pelvis. He needs rest and good food, and we're trying to give him both. We've not seen Dani and Summitt interact, but that's normal for yearlings. In the wild, they would be leading largely solitary lives. Katie Smith is right: we post daily updates on our residents on our Facebook page. We hope you'll follow their progress. 😊 facebook.com/AppalachianBearRescue
