I am waiting for my retail copy to be delivered and your obvious excitement for the game has raised my expectations even higher. I loved your enthusiasm.
I agree - all yays, no nays. Regarding the player aid for turns: there is a simple version of this in the center of the office board, where your clients are. At the top it shows on your turn you either: i) State Ideas, ii) Recall Ideas or iii) Treat Client(s). It's worth bringing attention to the 'reminders' that are placed across the components. There are more in the center of the office board. Some to the bottom left of the Notebook Board and also some in the center of the Vienna board. Anyway, it's a fabulous game. I hope it performs well in the awards in the coming year as the Fantasia team are deserving of much praise.
Great review guys. I'm patiently waiting for my copy to arrive and have read the rules a few times already. I didn't back this, but like Roxley's versions of Brass, when the retails versions hit, I lost all willpower and just got them and also got this. Is there anything better than a really beautiful "great game"? ha
Thank you! We hope your copy arrives soon and that you enjoy it a lot! Sometimes, it pays off to go for KS versions - and if the game is not for you at the end of the day, you can always sell it!
I watched a few gameplays and it looks like what I call "euro slop". It seems to be collect resources -> complete contracts, with convoluted random mechanics. People say it is thematic, but watching it I could see this being rethemed to be about running dog pageants with minimal effort. Is there any meaningful interaction? I see you have the usual take the spots for the workers "ideas", but even in that part you have 4 places for the same action. Can I play this without ever looking at the other players and win? The presentation is great, but I will conjecture this one will fall into the waste bin as soon as the release hype is finished, like Lacrimosa and Gutenberg.
Interestingly, we have tried both Lacrimosa and Gutenberg and both were big misses for us. However, UM is a different story. The game has many paths to victory, even if treating patients is the most thematic and engaging one. However, the puzzle elements of the game lie on the location tags and how these can be properly utilized both within the action of visiting a location but also while resting.
Thank you so much for the review! It means so much to the design team and artists to hear this kind of wonderful appreciation 💚☕️💡
Thank you so much for this awesome game, definitely one of the highlights of the year!

Thank you so much!! If you can, try to find the holofoil dream cards: from all the upgrades, this one is the best for this game for us!

There is a printable player aid available on BGG too (created by a fan) 💡
Indeed, we have printed that one.
We agree, a fabulous game. As for the awards, we have plenty of months to go, but the chances are good. 😊
👏👏👏
🥳

@@boardgamecourt True! Plus when you back, you get the fancy bits!
Elena seemed a little off this time. Hope everything's okay.
Thank you ☺️ everything is absolutely fine. Maybe a bit of tiredness as we recorded 3-4 videos in one go!!
