Wow...Grace is a breath of Fresh Air ! I too hope that she does not ever let success change her humility and down to earth style because it is this that makes her so special !
Please Grace........ You and you're band are amazing. You deserve all the hype. BUT please keep you're sincerity don't let success take you away from what you are on this video. Success changes people.
"probably because she isn't as great as she thinks she is" Actually, I've never met anyone so good who is as unassuming and nice as this girl is. Just a sweet girl with a big talent.
I already loved Grace Potter and hen she goes and quotes Kenny Powers..."I got my pitch back!!!!!". She is so awesome and that really made me giggle. :)
Well, I won't dispute that I liked that track. However, I love Matt's drumming. This is my favorite band right next to Zeppelin, so for me this drumming is great.
So awesome. I can’t get there as much anymore. When work sent me east or even north to Canada 🇨🇦 I always enjoyed it. I’m Olde MN man in Colorado now. So much is similar. La la land ain’t my fav. I been.
She's right. I have memories of travelling to Burlington Christmas 1970 to see a girl. High snow drifts. Warm nights. Also. . .another girl who lived in Brandon Vt. and must have moved there from Sweden cause she was. . . Grace reminds me of her actually. How tall is Grace?
grace is human just like everyone else. instead of assuming she "sold out" consider the fact that maybe she just wanted to change her on stage style. she looks great and she sounds even better (which is tough cause she's super-sexy). You cant expect an artist to always stay the same anymore than you can expect any other person to stay the same
Sunday May 26th 2013 is the Grace Potter enjoyment day at the "Blitzville Ranch" in Nevada. I am looking for music by Grace Potter that sounds like my Baby Trish Mc Dermott Baublitz up there on that stage. Country and pop was her forte ... but she can sing anything and she looks beautiful. It takes a hell of a man to keep her happy and I am proud to be that man. I mean Trish ... not Grace ... but I have a secret crush on Grace ... so don't tell anyone! Dick Baublitz xpi
I agree with you about the trap of playing the hits and then being expected to deliver those for eternity, because no one wants to hear that. Even in my cover band I get that, we established ourselves a certain way and if we go out of the box too much it does not work. I have limited exposure to Grace before her latest CD, but some of the songs from before it are awesome and artsy.."Apologies" comes to mind. So it seems your concerned about her dressing herself up a little to sell her music.
@gotcrush And there is no such thing as "establishing yourself and then doing what you want." If you establish yourself as a particular type of act, people will always expect and desire that. People like Bon Jovi and John Mayer tried to do that with a softer record and the John Mayer Trio and people weren't into it as much. They wanted to hear the hits. You just gotta hope that your hits come from your heart so that you can give the people what they want AND get what you need. Tough business.
I guess for the artist it comes down to do you wanna play and work at a day job or do you wanna do what it takes to create a good income so you can keep on "playing" for a living. I for one do it for a living and at my level it's impossible to pay your bills. I do see what you saying and I even am putting out a all instrumental guitar CD and there is no way that is selling out, but it is a business and if your not appealing to the masses you starve and then you give up on your dreams. C22 :(
I'm a artist so I know what your saying, but after the Diva's show she gained a million new fans and sold a bunch of records. The bottom line is you gotta do what it takes at first to sell records and then once your established you can do whatever you want as an artist. Grace to me is a much better alternative than a Taylor Swift.
Dude, calm down. I love this band, I love Zeppelin, I love Sabbath, Aerosmith, etc. IF you don't like them than don't worry. Just don't crap on this drummer that others love because to you he isn't what you like.
The term "sell out' has almost no meaning. Virtually all musicians have to cater to commercial interests in one way or another. The exceptions are so few that they (as the saying goes) prove the rule.
Hey! holysword and ronnyb why in the heck are you guys arguing about drummers! Are you guys F'ing kidding me? This is GP&N not Zepp. So were is the agument? Just enjoy the music and musicians for who they are and talants. Both take a chill pill and enjoy the show. Enjoy Life! Keep Jammin!
She goes from earthy hippie offstage to flashy, wannabe diva onstage. It's clear that she's stopped being herself onstage as she's discovered that her "self" isn't selling. As a musician, that's the goddamn of it: you can't stop being yourself even if no one's buying you, because then you've failed two-fold. You've failed commercially AND you've failed as an artist, as art is all about authenticity. Lord knows I know the hard way, so it breaks my heart to see artists sell-out, and in vain...
@gotcrush What's funny and sad is that Taylor Swift got big and famous just by being herself, even though her "self" is bubblegum pop garbage. Grace did not gain any new fans. Her youtube play counts are all well below a million (except for one) and no one that I know talks about her at all. Her "artist package" is just not a commercial hit, for whatever reason. Commercial success is very mysterious. She could have at LEAST saved her soul by being true to herself. But she sold her ass. Sad.
Who in the Fuk,...is Grace Potter? She sings Stevie Nicks purdy good! Seriously,...I aint never heard of this Chick b/4! Just saw her , here on youtube w/Gov'mt Mule.
Wow...Grace is a breath of Fresh Air ! I too hope that she does not ever let success change her humility and down to earth style because it is this that makes her so special !
I love her voice, she sings amazing!!!
Keep that Vermont spirit, Grace and you'll soar to the stars where you belong!
Please Grace........ You and you're band are amazing. You deserve all the hype. BUT please keep you're sincerity don't let success take you away from what you are on this video. Success changes people.
Grace Potter & The Nocturnals look/sound so old school - I love it!!!
Love what you do! You have a good heart and soul and I thank you for keeping it real. God Bless!

I absolutely love Grace!!!
Some of the best vocals, and LEGS, in rock music today.
Wow... A real band that has talent..
Well, I won't dispute that I liked that track. However, I love Matt's drumming. This is my favorite band right next to Zeppelin, so for me this drumming is great.

Dude....I love this band, he's the one who is saying matt is a shitty drummer. He isn't shitty, he's one of the best drummers I've ever heard.
Me muero!! Waterfront!! Burlington!! too many time I've been there 15 years ago!!! Rocks!! definatelly!!
her voice. Reminds me of Janis Joplin and Stevie Nicks all in one package, pretty cool!
love you Grace :)
Are you kidding me? This guys a damn great drummer.
Lake Champlain chocolates, Cabot cheese (Hunter's Extra Sharp is the best!)...YUM and how great that she does this!
My God she is gorgeous.
She is definitely a singer with Heart!
Cabot cheese \m/Rocks\m/ and so does Grace and the Nocturnals! Saw them in Virginia a few years ago!
Great vid... and intro
I really like Grace she's cool.
what's the name of the first song she is singing in this clip..>?
She's right. I have memories of travelling to Burlington Christmas 1970 to see a girl. High snow drifts. Warm nights. Also. . .another girl who lived in Brandon Vt. and must have moved there from Sweden cause she was. . . Grace reminds me of her actually. How tall is Grace?
If you mixed 75% Stevie Nicks with 25% Melissa Etheridge, you'd get something close to Grace Potter.
Hi Grace
Bless you
Andy

Why does this have so few views?

Good looking woman on bass at around 8:30...
It is worth noting that Grace does not throw like a 'girl', she has a good Vida Blue fast ball grip and rotates her shoulder like a baseball player.

The single hottest person ever to come from Vermont!!!!!!!!
Fuck that.
Marry Me, Grace. Please.
Too late. She already pushed out the bass player. All the "nocturnals" are interchangeable to her.
@ccjohncc1 LOL! I can ask 10 people at my company if they've ever heard of Black Sabbath and they'd say no.
anyone from phish
Maybe Throw them underhanded Gracie! YOU do throw like a girl! Love you anyway!
...What ever works for you dude.
