IN MEXICO THERE IS A GOLDEN RULE IN TRUCKING THAT IN THE MOUNTAINS THE DRIVER GOING UP THE MOUNTAIN HAS THE RIGHT AWAY ON THE CURVES BECAUSE TWO TRUCKS WON'T FIT ON THE CURVE AND IF THE ONE GOING UP STOPS IT WOULD BE A DISASTER TRYING TO TAKE OFF AGAIN BECAUSE OF THE GRADE AND WEIGHT.
It is Mexico Highway 2 which is the major highway between Tijuana and Juarez. This pass is on the border of the States of Sonora and Chihuahua. It’s around 80 km/50 miles east of Agua Prieta, Sonora, where the highway turns southeast towards Janos, Chihuahua. Not too high of a pass, but the tight corners and steep climbs make it challenging for truck drivers.
